Yellow Chilli is a franchise restaurant owned by the one and only Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. If you've enjoyed watching him on his popular TV show and reading his many recipe books, this restaurant is where all that food comes alive. The cuisine is largely Indian food where Chef has taken inspiration from various dishes across India as well as international ones and curated a menu. Anglo Indian Bahaar, Aloo Nazakat, Lawrence Road Tandoori Murgh and Kadai Prawns are some of their interesting dishes. This is a popular restaurant especially on the weekends, so service sometimes can get a little slow but all is forgiven when you eat the food.

The ambiance here is terrible, not anything worth it. The food is really good, made well and is delicious. Cheese chicken tikka was damn good. The tandoor murg was really good

We went here on a Friday night, place was sparsely populated. Must try - chanajorgaram tikki. Ambience -4/5. Service 3.5/5, food 4.5/5. This place is best for a better-than-casual dining with family.

In 1993, when Sanjeev Kapoor came up with Khaana Khazana show he won heart of each and every Indian and today he is a brand to the nation. The Yellow Chilli is one such restaurant which is backed by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor under the banner SK Restaurant. The menu is selected and elegantly crafted by Sanjeev Kapoor from across the nation. So, the yellow chilli had been on my list for a very long time and I happen to visit for a family dinner out here. The interior simple and elegant. As soon as you take your seat the steward comes and lights up the candle and serves complementary roasted papad along with the tamarind chutney and green chutney. A good way to start the evening. So quickly coming to what all I tried- For Starters- Chicken Tandoori - One of the classics which did not go wrong, chicken tandoori well marinated with tandoori masala and perfectly tandoored. **recommended** Chowrangee Chilli Chicken - The dish is straight from the streets of Kolkata and as we know Chinese street foods are the most famous in Kolkata. Chunks of chicken tossed in sweet and sour chinese sauce was simply delicious. **recommended** Chicken Desi Manchow Soup - The soup was okayish, as I found out sauces and garlics a bit less. I personally prefer Manchow with strong amount of garlic and sauces. And in the Mains- Murg Hara Pyaaz - Soft piece of Chicken, dipped in brownish curry which had spring onions and mildly infused pepper. Again I personally felt the masala's were quite less, the dish lacked chatpataness. Along with the sabji had normal Tandoori Roti. Chicken Fried Rice - Just the normal chicken fried rice plain and simple. In the end along with the bill they also give meetha paan and imli goli which is actually a good gesture to end the evening. The service is good, food is good as well won't say it great though as I felt the masala's usually play an important role in Indian dishes which can't be compromised. Maybe it's because the 5* chefs usually go less on salt and masala. I would rate The Yellow Chilli 3.5. Overall the time was spent well and is to go place with family or loved ones. Foodizzz✌️
