Located exactly opposite to the entrance of Star Bazar at Korum, Cakes and Candles is a small pastry outlet almost like a kiosk. They have both desserts n savory items on display although the options are very limited ranging from mousse to cupcakes and rolls to samosas. The Chocolate Mousse: is served in a transparent cup with layers of creamy mousse, chocolate syrup and also choco chips. Taste is ok and texture is bit grainy. Red Velvet Cupcake: this one looked very pretty but overall was a let down. The cream frosting was dry and the red sponge was flaky n lacked moisture . Veg Manchurian Roll: the bread was soft, fresh n the filling consisted of mixed veggies with Chinese sauces. It was savory, mouth watering n surprisingly good. Samosas are also very popular here. So ironically so far the savory items have been better than the desserts themselves.

Ordered one of their Premium chocolate cakes. It was delicious and fully loaded. For me I will always compromise a little on the food, variety etc or even taste if the service is great and I as a customer feel acknowledged . Here I can say the service AND the cake both were spot on! Full marks on punctuality too with regards to delivery. And the smiling face of the delivery guy too made my day :) 10/10 on customer service.

We used to like their pastries...specially Red velvet, white forest. Always fresh. My daughter used to like them and so we decided to order her birthday cake here. A teddy bear shaped one. We provided them with a pic the cake. It's not fondant or photo cake which most cakeshops provide. The teddy bear shaped cake is the cut out cake. The colours and texture were excellent. The cake was made in 3 KG and sufficient for more than 50 people. At a price range of Rs 950 per kg it is very good comparable to most cake outlets around
