Backsplace bistro is a 3 month old restaurant located in the heart of baner. It's speciality is pork items but vegeterian menu is good too. The ambience is cozy and peaceful. All the breads are made in the house ! . We tried: 1) Ice Tea: A chilled drink to start your food with. It was refreshing but the content of sugar was on a higher side. 2)Hot Mess: A new way of serving fries! Fries topped with salsa sauce, baked beans, Tomtoes and lots lots of cheese. Spiciness of the salsa sauce enhanced the taste of the dish. 3)Cocochi Tofu: A spicy type of burrito. A burrito is a mexican dish that consists of a flour tortilla with various other ingredients. Paneer tossed in coffee and bird chilli flavoured sauce with baked beans and sour cream served on home made tortilla. The flavour of coffee was the highlight of this dish 4) Three cheese Funghi: Roasted Mushrooms tossed in Pesto and gratinated with three cheese served in a toasted foccacia. Focaccia is a flat oven-baked Italian bread product similar in style and texture to Pizza doughs. This was highlight of the tasting. 5)Tandoori Mushrooms: Fragrant and Aromatic Mushrooms marinated in Tandoori marinade and topped with a spicy yoghurt dressing. The dish was a bit spicy so it decreased the taste of the dish Ambience - 4/5 Service -3/5 Food 3.5/5

The food was horrible...I ordered because the restaurant had a high rating. But the quality of food was abysmal.

Baner being a hotspot now a days. We have got many interesting places here to visit. Backspace bistro being one of them. It is a nice small cosy place. The atmosphere here is lit with some good music & some soothing lights. They have got a two floored seating arrangement.The service is quick & the staff treated us with great hospitality. Iced tea: It was pretty basic with well balanced flavours. Appetizers Pork puddle : As the name suggests they serve some crispy fries in a puddle of pork. The pork was well cooked & the sauce was delicious. The sauce was spicy & scrumptious. It was topped with some cheese. The fries went really well with the pork. Hot mess : It had fries served with a tangy sauce & adorned with some cheese on the top. The fries went well with the baked beans & the salsa sauce.The quantity was satisfactory & did justice to the price. Mojo bird burrito : It had a scrumptious chicken filling served with a tortilla. The chicken was well cooked & was tossed in a delicious sauce. It was served with some sour cream at the top. ⭐Three cheese fungi sandwich : The sandwich had a nice stuffing of mushroom tossed in a delicious cheese sauce. The combination was heavenly. The sandwich was served with some potato wedges drizzled with some mayonnaise. ⭐Batter fried Louisiana chicken sandwich : This is one of the must try here. The chicken was perfectly cooked & had a crispy delicious coating. This sandwich makes a wholesome meal as it is served with some potato wedges. Bacon onion & cheddar flatbread : The bacon was nice & crispy with some caramelised onion & had a generous amount of cheese in it. ⭐Tandoori mushroom flatbread : This is one of the must try here. The flatbread was loaded with a mushroom bell pepper tossed in a delicious sauce & topped with a generous amount of cheese. Mains ⭐Chicken roast : It had a chicken served with a mouthwatering gravy which had a coconut base. It was served with some mashed potatoes & some tossed veggies & bread. Minced pork roast : This was so far one of the best pork dishes I tried.The pork was well cooked & tossed in a spicy sauce. It had a simple presentation but the dish was delicious. Desserts ⭐Blueberry cheesecake : They serve some of the best cheese cakes in the city. The cheese cake had a beautiful texture. The flavor of blueberry was subtle & a bite of the creamy cheesecake with the buttery crust will triggers your taste buds. Cheattheday!

These days,I have been pretty much discovered that places with big names and promises might be just a fluke and that there are some small places that are actually way more influential and rather underestimated for what they have on offer.And here was another small gem I discovered literally in the 'backspaces' of Baner and here is my take on it. ▶️Ambiance-Run by three food gastronomes viz Harshad,Kaustubh and Niranjan who started off with a food truck and have graduated to this endearing cafe,the place is just adjacent to Iddos and has replaced the erstwhile Stew Art.The place has what you would associate a cafe/bistro with,those appealing tungsten lamps and travelogue clicks on the wall,the plant pots adorning one side of the wall and so on!They have divided the seating area into two parts,the mezzanine portion and the upper areas.We were seated in the upper area since the lights were better for clicking the food pictures but tbh,the upper area wasn't fun for pretty tall guys like me and Akshay Khond since the ceiling did touch our heads😅But we didnt mind since we had just one thing on our mind,🍴(gobbling up the food implied!)! ▶️Food-We started off with their mocktails viz the ice teas,the Peach and the Hazelnut variants.The Peach variant was pretty much standard stuff,but what actually hit our taste buds the right way was the Hazelnut variant,just perfect on the taste aspect and refreshing enough,do try it if you are here!❤️ Next on offer was the Hot Mess.Fries 'messed up' with Cheesy sauce,salsa and baked beans.I mean a gooey mix with ingredients that can seldom go wrong and the added veggies just enhance the overall taste of the dish!The salsa and baked beans were amazing too😍 As we were devouring the Hot mess,then came the Mojo Paneer Burrito.This Mexican snack was an open variant unlike the cliched variants,one can roll it and have it or devour it just like roti-sabzi.It was heavenly! #musttry❤️ The Tofu and Sambal Focaccia was another endearing dish.Served with flavoured potatoes and the Sambal and freshly inhouse baked bread,it gelled well together.The flavours were heady enough and truly recommended.😍 As many might have noticed,I am not a fan of mushrooms and ironically came the Tandoori Mushrooms flat bread.And this one just drew me in,I couldn't resist from dunking my teeth into all of this.The mushrooms were well cooked,the sauces just added a hefty flavour to it.❤️ And then came the best for the last.The Chocolate Mousse here is the best one I had in years,soft layered chocolate,served in a small cup and saucer arrangement,it was fun to look at and the taste is rather indescribable!😍😍 ▶️Service-Being served by the people who started this cafe is itself amazing and they took special care to look after all of us.We faced no difficulties as such and the service was spot on without any issues. Overall,TBB surely deserves more patrons and the prices too are VFM, implying you won't burn a hole in your wallet if you are here.It surely has a few quirks up it's sleeves and that ought to help it gain the requisite attention.Do give this small place a try and you would realise that surprises do come in small packets!😌

—Small bites— Hot mess-Fries topped with baked beans,salsa and cheese.The fries weren’t soggy at all.The salsa gave a tangy punch to the fries.#Recommended Burritos— Cocochi tofu-The tortilla was nice crispy and tofu had a spicy taste and bit bitter because of coffee which engrossed me to have more.#Recommended Mojo bird-Tortilla was nice crispy and chicken was tossed in a spicy & tangy sauce.It had a perfect taste with combination.#Recommended —Focaccia sandwich — Three cheese funghi-Mushrooms were roasted and soaked into pesto nicely.The perfect combination of cheese and mushroom with a toasted focaccia bread.#Recommended Batter fried louisiana chicken-The chicken was perfectly fried,outer cover was nice crispy tossed with spicy louisiana sauce served in a toasted focaccia bread. —Flatbreads— Tandoori mushroom-Mushrooms were marinated with spicy sauce.The bread could have been more crispy by my view.Else the taste was really delicious. —Roast— Chicken roast- A must try mains here.Chicken portion roasted with the moderate spiced sauce which was really tasty.The sauce had generous and spiced flavour.The chicken was served with sautéed veggies and mash and fries.#Recommended —Dessert— Black currant cheesecake -A much appreciated dessert.A must try.The cheesecake had a perfect flavour of blackcurrent and super creamy. I’d definitely go back for the dessert😍
