Shoal Seafood Family Resto Bar Reviews and Ratings - Gandharw Farm, Pune

Very poor service. The staff is very rude and will never accept that there is any fault. I wish they read reviews and just work on service part. I am really surprised that management did not work on service part despite so many negative reviews about their service. The ambience and Taste of food is good. But, it is completely overshadowed by rude and unattended service.

A hidden gem! Location and ambiance: 5/5 Starters: 3/5 Soup: 4/5 Main course : 3/5 Service: 2/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 What to try: fish manchow soup, prawns Maratha Location and ambiance: we stumbled upon this place trying to find a decent sea food restaurant around this area. The location is next to navale bridge. Perfect in all senses. The ambiance is beautiful with beautiful and happy lights and comfortable sitting. The plants look great and the hygiene at this place is simply commendable . Starters: so we ordered fish manchow soup . Having a not so good history with sea food soups I was a little not sure about this. But when it cMe it really blew my mind. Awesome taste with good amount of spices which dint kill the taste of the fish yet masked the peculiar smell. Wonderful to try. Do ask for schezwan sauce because it's one of the best I've had till now. We also ordered a surmai fry tawa. Now this was a little disappointing. However the taste was good and up to the mark, the fish was not at all tender. It was a little chewy. Main course: We were so full that we ended up ordering jeera rice and prawns Maratha gravy. The gravy had a good quantity with good amount of prawns. The taste was amazing and worth trying. I'm still not happy with the rice. The rice was a little hard to chew. But nevertheless the taste covered it all. Service: Such a nice place and service like an ant. The people here are good to talk to and respectful. However the service is pretty slow. Specially our main course took nearly 30 mins to come by. Value for money: So much sea food for 1000 bucks is a good one as per sea food is concerned. So this makes this place a great value for money. Final verdict: order your main course with your starters. Rest assured you will like it.

We had ordered chicken dum biryani and murg masallam. Both the dishes turned out to be huge disappointments. The rice in the dum biryani was extremely dry, making it seem like it was cooked the earlier day and kept in the fridge and just heated and mixed with chicken masala. The chicken masala part of the biryani tasted mainly of chilli powder. No aromatic spices, no flavour nothing. The murg masallam tasted like butter chicken made at cheap roadside dhabas. The chicken was not grilled but simply boiled and added in a slightly sweet tasting chicken keema gravy. We didn't like the dishes at all and will give this restaurant a miss in the future.
