Insane!

Rated 5.0 by Sushant Ghige

Ambience is pleasant and food was really tasty. Its a nearby place for me so i kept posponing visiting it but when i did i regret why i postponed. Everything from soup , starter to main course was tasty. Importantly it wasnt unnecessarily spicy to make it tasty so higene is maintained.

Loved the food and service. Some of the starters were simple but very tasty. Almost like home made food. Good place to go out with family. Place is calm.

Clam ambiance with nice food. We have been visiting this place since like the times I could remember. In the glory days, this was one of the exclusive restaurants on baner side.  We have always enjoyed our visits here and one bias may be the happy childhood memories that we had here. Which we relate to every time we visit this place. This place still has an old school feel around it with 90's theme and all. The ambiance is good, we like it... not fancy and at the same time not very bright. Nice dim lighting, having both families as well as bachelor crowd makes the evening funfilled with soft music and relaxing atmosphere. This review is based on our latest experience from May 2019 and as stated above do take it with a pinch of salt. You know what childhood memories can do to you :)Service was good, it was quick, it was cordial and the captain had a fair knowledge about the menu. We ordered manchow soup, veg clear soup, karai roti, dry manshurian, Chinese bhel, veg fried rice and dal makhni. Soups were nice and we enjoyed them. They had flavors and the manchow soup was not spicy which was a plus. Manchurian was not that good, and it had an oily feel as well as smell to it. We did not like it, it was a bit too salty for us as well. Chinese bhel was nice we liked it, crispy, tangy and with cabbage, etc. ticked all the right boxes. The kori roti was ordered "off menu" and it was a disaster. Good thing they fo not have it on the menu. Veg fried rice was "ok" nothing bad about it, had good flavors and balanced taste. The dal makahni though was a surprise. Very different to look and taste but it did taste good. Overall a mixed experience with average to low ratings on food. Good ratings on service and overall experience.  Might certainly visit this place thanks to the bond and memories that we have here.  Would be on our "must go" list??? Certainly not..!!!

It's a very old established restaurant and I have been visiting it since many years. It has got no glitz and glamour and no fancy dishes in its menu. Yet what makes it good is its consistent food that it keeps on delivering since years. The service is good and you find the same staff which has been there for years, that's an accomplishment in itself. The location is very convenient just connecting the Bangalore highway so easy to approach. Ample parking space. In the changing world of New and flashy restaurants, it's good to have such a nice cozy place still running where you can simply enjoy good food and have a good conversation.
