Rhubarb Reviews and Ratings - Baner Gaon, Pune

Loved it!

Rated 4.5 by Dinesh Seamen Bahrani

Some of the most interesting food you can find in Pune, Rhubarb is top three for me! Ever changing menu, just the right amount of dishes and perfect portion sizes (big and small) rhubarb is a must visit when in Aundh. The dishes sound so interesting that you'd want to eat them all, we had the lamb pasta, pork ribs and belly and biscuits. Pasta was homemade, good bite but less sauce according to me. The belly was amazingly cooked, off the bone and a sweet ginger glaze. The Biscuits and Gravy was a real heart stopper, generous portions tasty as hell gravy and the belly was cooked just how I like it. Will definitely go back to eat more their different dishes. Till then enjoy some of the pictures I clicked!

Small space right outside Seasons Hotel. Went here for dinner yesterday as it came highly recommended by friends. Started off with drinks; unfortunately they dont serve alcohol but there are a lot of innovative nonalcoholic options to try. Tried the Tulsi Lemonade which was refreshing and fizzy with a nice kick of lemon. We ordered a selection of dishes from the mains. I like that they have the option to have a small and large portion. Ordering several small portions leaves a lot of room for trying various varieties of food. The food has interesting fusion themes but we chose to some safe dishes. First up, Potato and Cheese Croquettes. Simply divine. The cheese was melted and yum. Then we had Wok Tossed Prawns. In my opinion, this was the best dish of the entire meal. The prawns were succulent and the spices were absolutely spot on. Then some Pork Ribs which were coated in a sticky molasses sauce. Not overly sweet, the pork was cooked brilliantly; just about falling off the bone. Nice mix of meaty sides and the crispy burnt bit sides. Then some Korean Chicken Drumsticks. Crunchy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The meal had to end on a sweet note; and it was just as good as the dishes that preceded it. It would be a crime to come to Rhubarb and not try their Chocolate Cake. The sauce that goes with it is sinful. The cake is almost of brownie-like consistency and tastes absolutely wonderful. I would recommend everything I tried. Only thing keeping them from scoring a perfect 5/5 was the fact that they didn't have some of the dishes and drinks listed on their menu

A lost Saturday evening:Wasn't served the crisps with the soup which was promised in the menu card. When asked about it, I was told this is how it is served. After much argument they apologised. Was denied when I insisted to talk to the chef. Took 20 minutes for them to generate the bill.

Was here a few weeks back and had one of the best pork experiences of my life! Pork chops that melt in your mouth, crispy pork skins, biscuits and some funky aged cheese was a perfect meal and I'll happily return even though I'm not living close by. A great place for any food lover, especially if you are interested in more family-style meals and in the mood for pork. A jewel in Aundh, truly!
