Visited Thaat Baat with my extended family a few days ago, as everyone was in the mood to eat a different cuisine for the weekend. Me likes: Ambience is clean and functional, and the servers that ladle food into the thaals don ethnic wear (kurta-pajama and colourful turbans) that help create a very 'paramparik' feel. Among the food items, the mini bhakris, with ghee and gud heaped on them, were very tasty. As were the ghugras (served as a part of farsan), aamras and the gulab jamuns. No likes: They served three different vegetable preparations, that were all very oily and tasted quite similar. Thanks to the sweet dal, kadhi and chaawal then, for breaking the monotony. All in all, it's fairly value-for-money for the 300/- they charge, and more of a one time visit place.
