Baner is one of the food hub of the town where you will find all type of restaurants and cuisine but what it lacks is good Traditional Thali restaurants. As far as I know Panchavati Gaurav is the only Thali place in Baner, so we had no choice but to visit the place (as we wanted to try Thali and were looking for nearby place). Unfortunately the experience was not good. All the subji's were soooo spicy/hot like we could hardly feel the taste, even the Kadhi which supposed to be sweet, that was also spicy. They had Rabdi-Jalebi in desert. I never had such a poor Rabdi, which was more like a kheer but without any taste, so watery texture. The buttermilk was pathetic, I wouldn't even call it is watery, rather it was just white-water, no taste. I doubt if the cook added the mirchi twice in preparation. Also to note, I doubt the ghee was a pure desi ghee. Because when it was served on baati, soon enough it got freezed (गोठलं in Marathi). And it got stuck so hard that it was tough to separate the baati from plate. I earlier ordered the parcel and had similar experience. So now, I would definitely not visit this place again neither recommend to others. When we visited the place, hardly 2-3 tables were occupied, the place wasnt crowded - I think that says all! The good sides were : Courteous staff, fast service, in food some good items were: jalebi, puri, kachori, daal-khichadi (but Rs. 333 is not worth-it just for that). Come on Panchavati, you are the only Thali place in Baner so prove to be the only one and BEST.

Price of the Thali - 350 /- Rs (With Tax) . Ambiance: Overall the ambiance is okiesh you can say, it's spacious enough to occupy large Enough of crowd, there is no open air dining so, keep a note of that. . Service: Extremely Extremely Fast, the waiters were just close to our table and were constantly looking at what's finished from our plates and were immediately Bringing that item. All those who served us were super friendly and made us try all the items. . The resplendent Thalis (platters) are a realisation of absolutely different kinds of flavours co-existing together. The cusine over here comprises of both Gujrati and Rajasthani dishes and a bit of Maharashtrian as well. . a very nice place and the food is just so delicious. the Gujarati thali with a little spark of Rajasthani taste makes it out of the world. there is no limit to having food per thali . also the thali has so many dishes that one may get confused about what to eat or not. two people can eat in one thali very comfortably. the staff and ambiance were also very nice. a must visit place
