Kalyani Veg Reviews and Ratings - Kalyani Nagar, Pune

I have been visiting this place for almost 2 years now. No doubt that the food here is great and fresh as rightly called out in other reviews. This means they've managed to retain their cooks. What's gotten worse over time is the service and their staff. For instance, back in time they used to have 15-20 waiters and managers and now they hardly have 5-7. With ever increasing rush restaurant like this has chosen to cut on their cost by not retaining their service staff or not replace them. Also the staff that they have left have their own issues. Today when you order something the manager will take order from multiple tables and go into the kitchen. Once he does that he'll not come out for the next 10 mins. In the meantime if someone wants to change their order or order more they can go to hell or wait until the manager thinks he should attend them. Bottom-line is if you want tasty food at the expense of going through this horrible service experience this is the place to visit else there are lot more places to try out.
I had the best breakfast of my life at this place. Sitting in Kalyani's gave me very old school vibes like the 60s-70s. The restautant was so calm and beautiful, it soothed my nerves. The support staff was one of the best i've ever encountered. The dishes were both healthy and tasty. I tried Butter Idli, Medhu Vada, Cutlets. The filter coffee was exquisite. This open air restaurant in kalyani nagar is a must visit place in Pune.
Has quite good variety to its menu. Served fresh, hot food! Swift service. I would say reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean & hygienic! Though I rarely dine at pure veg restaurants, this place would really make me come back for some more veg food😛

I’ve been eating here from almost 15 years and the one redeeming thing about this place has been that it has remained consistently mediocre. You can be assured that whatever you order, you will get the same taste. Whether it’s a Paneer or a mix veg, it’ll be red coloured and have the exact same taste. The sambhar served with the south Indian dishes is also sweet sour.

Kalyani Veg - is delightful place and perfect venue for Vegetarians! I had been there for my business meet dinner and it truly maintained its standards satisfying the taste of my business partners from Mumbai. We chose to have Jain menu and indeed it fulfilled its requirements by serving perfect Jain food with great taste. Service can be more enhanced and improvised. Ambience is perfect for family dinner and also meets. Situated in the heart of Kalyani nagar this place is just a perfect catch for Vegetarians. Kudos Team !
