Gavkari Reviews and Ratings - Warje Malwadi, Pune
This is awesome place for the food especially the chicken is the best dish here... Chicken is the speciality for this place. As compare to another branches Gavakari, Warje is the best.
Had heard about their food and hence tried Chicken. But we could see Food quality is not good. Had tried 3 times before writing the review. Quality of chicken was questionable. Hope they live upto peoples expectation.

If you are visiting this outlet with expectation of getting same food quality as that of Kothrud outlet, then you will be totally disappointed. Bhakari was like papad and white rassa was tasteless white water. Chicken was good but rice was just average.

Gavkari Warje, In a tiny, blink and miss, shop besides Vinayak hospital is the Warje branch of Gavkari. Started a few years back this place serves some authentic kolhapuri food. I have been here a number of times. As I dislike chicken, I haven’t tried their chicken thali but I have always had their egg thali. The egg thali comes with an egg curry, tambda rassa, pandhara rassa , chapati and rice. The egg curry or egg masala as they call it is boiled eggs cooked a nice thick spice curry. The curry is quite tasty and you can taste an assortment of spices. The tambda rassa is spicey but not the spiciest that I have tasted. The pandhara rassa on the other hand is subtle with a nice coconut flavour profile and aftertaste of the star anise added. They serve a biryani rice (not biryani) with the thali. The rice goes well with the curry or even the tambda rassa. One thing that I have observed is that sometimes they serve dahi kanda and plain onion the ither times. So, make it a point to ask for dahi kanda if you are served plain onions. With a filling thali at a cost of Rs. 180, it’s a value for money place. Do visit it for a good kolhapuri taste.
