Nice little set up with good quality café food. Its a good place to go out with your gang and get some snacks. The service is also good and I really recommend coming to this place with a small group as this place can get crowded easily and would be difficult to accommodate more than 12 people (assuming that it is empty)

Dropped in there for a wada pav(₹30 for a pair) and chai (₹10) this morning (Joshi Wadevale's). The usual fare. Nothing out of the ordinary. The wada was reheated. The pav was cold and the chai was delightfully refreshing. Abreast of JW's is Cafe 9. I casually surveyed the place for cleanliness but couldn't hardly find any. The cafe is adjacent to the sooty, disarrayed kitchen of the wadevala with crates of potatoes stacked for peeling. After paying for a Munch with Crush (whatever that is supposed to mean) (₹40) and collecting the coupon, I waited at the counter for a good 2 to 3 minutes before the serving guy realised I was standing there and directed me to the cafe's counter to surrender the coupon and place my order. That is because the cashier was simply too busy with whatever he was doing our simply wanted to be indifferent. Then the man at the café counter displayed his deftness at multitasking by preparing the milkshake (Munch) with one hand while chatting over his mobile with the other. Without batting an eyelid. The "Munch" was strictly okay and appeared to be a sad attempt at aping the far more popular CAD B and M series; though failing miserably. The shake struggled to flow through the straw and I had a mildly irritating time advertising my struggle as the shake spluttered noisily into my mouth. No comfortable parking here thanks to the cafe's location at the FC end of Bhandarkar Road; which is quite narrow. I had to keep the emergency blinkers on, dash to the counter, place order, dash back, sit in the car, eat, dash back, order, back, sit, slurp, dash back, weave through the disarrayed tables and chairs of the Wadevale, keep used Munch glass on a table, rush back, heave sigh of relief. Next time it's The Chokolade for me.

Late afternoon hunger pangs made me visit this place for a quick bite. The place is simple. Had Grilled cheese sandwich, Masala French Fries and Espresso . Sandwich was not grilled enough. But the quantity of cheese saved it. Masala French fries were crispy and non oily. Espresso - Not strong enough. Mild. Service is very slow. Extremely pocket friendly is their saving grace. In all , an average place.

Sandwich they are making out of tiny breads. Not a good option for hungry times. But the shakes/ munch n other are rich in flavour. If u like your base product of the having stong dominating taste in the shake u must be here.
