I really had high hopes from The Cafe- Hyatt Regency. But yeah everyone worked so hard to arrange and make food. I dont want to be so hard here and just want to highlight what few things which were missing/not gone well and few things which I liked. **Improvements Required** 1. Selection of food items. They should consider our diversity and should try to at least have one item of each region. I understand goan festival going on but there may be many people who want a simple south indian food or normal paneer and breads. I shouldn't compare here but I have tried many 5 star restaurants and my favorite is Taj group as they consider people from every region. There you can find dosa, idli mean to say south Indian, Punjabi, Rajasthani etc. I feel that any breakfast is incomplete without a dosa/idli or a good punjabi paratha. 2. I felt it more of a lunch than a brunch! 3. Labels on many food items were missing. They were also not arranged in a way to help us. 4. Desserts looked damn pretty but failed to impress. 5. Less options for vegetarian. Things I really liked here, 1. Service. Staff was really courteous and made us comfortable. Listened to our concerns and tried their best to make us happy. 2. I liked Mojito. 3. Valet parking. 4. Top notch cleanliness

Went for the Sunday brunch and couldn’t be more disappointed with the service & staff. Felt unwelcome right from the beginning - had to ask for each and every small thing ourselves. Had made a prior reservation on the phone a day before but nobody seemed to knew about it. On the phone, I was told that they will serve a complimentary cake (I was celebrating my wife’s birthday) with her name on it (took the name as well) - but again nobody had any clue. I enquired about the same at the beginning and I was told that it will be served. After we were done, all we got was a bill and feedback form - I again had to ask about it. Could it get any worse? Yes, indeed: The cake arrived without any name, and they just put it on the table and went away. What a way to do customer service - didn’t even have the courtesy to wish. The 2 of us were sitting there looking like fools! Extremely pathetic customer service, the only relief was food which was very limited (vegetarian) but at least tasty. Wasted a good amount of money (over-priced Sunday brunch) and left without anything that we could fondly remember.

The ambience is great. The moment you enter the restaurant you get a feeling of being in a premium place. I wish I could say the same about the buffet. The taste was way below standard. The volume of the spread was less for both starters and main course. There were just one chicken and one mutton dish in the main course. Even those two items were poor in taste. The staff however when they came to know about our dissatisfaction, tried hard to make up by offering other dishes and desserts. That courtesy and effort was the only thing which made us feel like visiting again perhaps for an ala-carté.

A name like Hyatt has not turned up to the expectations. We went for a family dinner but it turned out to be a very bad experience, So bad that we had to order from another restaurant after reaching home(because we couldn't eat anything from Dinner spread) Limited Options- Had 2 Veg and 2 Non-vegetarian options Paneer was literally cold so we had to ask for another one.(the one prepared later was ok) Second option was Sweet potato fries.. this was so hard that it could really hurt inside your mouth (because of sharpness) Only chat Item was good which people really liked(the only reason there is another star to review) Mains were just left as it is because of uncooked rice, rice (pulao) was very had and same with noodles. I hAve added pictures of plate after we finished food, unwilling we had to waste food because there was no option to eat. Didn't expected this standards from Hyatt. In the end during payment I did provided a frank feedback about not liking the food and asked for a feedback form but no-one bothered to give the same. Card was swiped and that's it. Date of visit (07th Sep)
