Great!

Rated 4.0 by Nishant Mehta

Was looking out for places that are listed on "Zomato Gold" and I came across the fascinating menu of 'Umraan Regional'. I really loved the food here. It had a very homemade feeling to it and a mouth watering smell to it. I tried the "Wazwani Marchwangan Murgh" along with "Malabar Paratha", it was too delicious. The service was polite and prompt.  I'm looking forward to try other options on the menu!

Umraan regional is a small , beautiful dine in and QSR in located in Pali hill serving lip smacking regional cuisines from various parts of India. The place has 5 tables with 15 plus seating capacity. Menu is scrumptious with decent options and each dish represents a culture.Their menu is constantly evolving with more dishes getting added up and improvements being made on existing ones if there are feedback's or changes required. This keep the interest for the 2nd visit for me to check out the next set of dishes For me I started with Pataka Cola and Lassi . Lassi was creamy, standard as expected and Pataka Cola is Coke with Lemon and Chaat Masala. Good to go with Indian food. Starters Cheese Paneer Samosa : Soft, cheesy and perfect crunch.Chutney served along with this is good and must.Size a bit small but delicious Kolhapuri Chicken Tikka : Well marinated and tandoored, chicken tender, rusty texture and mesmerizing aroma. Could have been a bit more spicier to justify the name.Good one and recommended Chicken Chettinad Wrap : I opted this one with Nachni Roti. Chicken Chettinad stuffed along with veggies served hot.Good variation from the otherwise traditional wraps we have. Nachni Roti gave a crunchy texture to this. Mains Wazwani Marchwangan Murgh : This comes from the heart of Kashmir, though I haven't tasted it before to compare, this one was rich in taste with Indian spices, had a coarse texture due to hand grounded masalas, coriander has a lot of influence on the taste, chicken well soaked with the spices,a bit spicy and damn delicious.Goes well with the Paneer and Cheese Paratha. Recommended Dal Panchratan : Traditionally a Mewar dish .Excellent and to the point.Richness in each bite. All the 5 lentils were cooked and assimilated well. The balance of Cumin and Garam Masala was excellent which makes up the whole taste.Highly recommended Lucknowi Mutton Biryani : The balance of the rice and masala was not consistent.Way more tangy then expected.Traditional Awadi Biryani has a lot more fragrance and masalas compared to this one.Need a lot of improvement here Desserts Berry Rasmalai : Strawberry flavoured rasmalai. Fragrant, flavours infused well and delicious Belgian Chocolate Phirni : Excellent fusion .Phirni with Chocolate is something I have never tried. These guys have excelled this one it seems Presentation for desserts needs to be looked in to.Taste, quality and quantity is perfect. Service is quick, outlet was crowded with patrons when I walked in.You may see some wait time if you reach during lunch or dinner hours Parking can be a challenge here considering the busy road. Overall Verdict : Innovative concept.Bringing multiple cuisines under a roof is never an easy job.Food is nice, some minor fixes required. Prices are decent compared to the portions they offer. Don't miss their desserts. Will definitely visit next time :)

You can now get a taste of the best of regional cuisine at one restaurant, Umraan Regional. Umraan meaning prosperity has such a unique concept laid out for its diners. 🏙Ambience 🏙 Small cosy eatery, wooden decor with yellow lighting. The huge entrance door of the restaurant is creatively etched with symbols and phrases. ♨️The menu♨️ The dishes on tbe menu are popular ones packed with and taste. Dishes we tried 🥛Drinks🥛 Pataka Cola - A fizzy drink with masala. Kokam Sharbat - I enjoyed this cool drink better. 🥢Starters 🥢 Andra tawa fish - Fish was fresh tender and had good flavours. Kolhapuri chicken tikka.- Fiery flavours, Chicken was tender and succulent. Cheese Paneer Samosas - Very enjoyable when served hot. Cheesy inside and crispy outside. Chicken chettinad wrap( nachni base) - South indian flavours of the chicken. 🍽Main course🍽 Laal Maas - A dish from Rajasthan. Slow cooked mutton cooked in automatic spices. The lamb was not over cooked making the dish very enjoyable. Wazwani Marchwangan Murg - This is a Kashmiri dish, main ingredients being coriander and green chillies. This was the highlight of the day as it was the first time I tasted this dish Cheese and Paneer paratha - Soft and melted in the mouth. 🍧Dessert 🍧 Laal Gulla - This dessert is a must have if you're looking to try something different. They offer QSR service till 4 am so definitely check out their menu.

When I saw this place having a Kashmiri Dish on their menu I literally jumped; coz I am a huge fan of Kashmiri food. So I immediately ordered it. But when I received it and tasted it the entire excitement vanished. It certainly didn’t taste like a Kashmiri dish. It was a major put off. I don’t understand why people just add dishes to their menu which they are not able to do justice to. The parathas that came along were very thick and tasted like the roti you get in the Rajdhani Express of our Indian Railway.
