Before my review I’d like to definitely make it clear that I’m not exaggerating about the description and my thoughts I’m exactly going to tell you what we experienced: we’ve tried cakes from all parts of Mumbai right from the high end to the childhood pocket money days ( slice cake )... I read about her cakes being light and air like through online reviews and didn’t believe it till I ordered it. How does she create clouds in her kitchen ? It’s like a cheese lovers paradise ... you must try the mini dark chocolate cheese cake you will feel nostalgic and probably remember the first birthday parties you attend as a child ( it’s fortunate and unfortunate she’s not advertising / marketing her work ) I’m dying to eat the matcha and coconut cream Swiss roll ! Why are you shut Sunday ? 💔

I was asked to pack the pork with bamboo shoot by my sister and take it to Pune. I stay in Parel and Shimon happily agreed to deliver all the way there. The menu was interesting and so I ended up ordering a bunch of stuff. The meal was truly a delight. The packaging was classy and well done. Each dish was accompanied by some crazy spicy dipping sauce and veggies grilled to perfection. The meatballs were delish and i will definately be hitting bandra for another round sometime soon. What took the cake was actually the cake!!! After doing some review research, I ordered the Matcha Cheesecake. Shimon made a fresh one and it was still warm when it reached my door! It was fantastic! I suggest everyone try the pork with bamboo shoot, pork with beans and the meatballs for main course... finish the meal with the matcha pannacotta... another winner on the menu and then.... When u are still reeling from a decadent food coma... pack up at least one of their brilliant cheesecakes for later!!! U will not regret it!

Heard of these guys from a close friend of mine and knowing how much he likes food called them up. They don't have a sit down place only home delivery as far as I know. Shimon’s Kitchen is a delivery only place found in the by lanes of Linking Road. This is near to the famous “Mini Punjab”. These guys love food and you can see and taste it from their preparations. And when you love what you do the results are great.  Ordered a Grilled Cottage Cheese, Smoked Bacon & Chicken Macaroni and Cheese and a Smoked Pork and Beans. For dessert I decided on the Cotton Cheese Cake.  Every meal was perfection. Will be coming back for more.

The Cotton Cheesecake and Matcha Cheesecake were the best I have ever had. It's light, fluffy and taste delicious. Thank you Shimon's Kitchen :) Looking forward to have more of these in the future

Introduction: Shimon’s kitchen is headed by 3 food loving people. Shimon, the head chef loves food and cooking. They have been operating in Bombay over a year. They hail from the North Eastern region in India and are very talented when it comes to cooking. I always believe that when you like what you do, the result is always awesome. The same has happened here. These guys love food and you can see it from their preparations. The food preparation is authentic and good for the body. Location: Shimon’s Kitchen is a delivery only place found in the by lanes of Linking Road. This is near to the famous “Mini Punjab”. Proximity from station: Since this is a delivery only place, there is no dine-in. However they deliver around 5 kms radius. Food and Drinks: We began with a pro biotic drink. The flavor was banana. I like Yakult and hence trying something new was amazing. It’s a good start to the meal. Grilled cottage cheese: We then tried the grilled cottage cheese which was made with their home made tomato sauce. It reminded me so much of the tomato sour gravy which maa makes at home. This was also seasoned with ground pepper. The overall taste was amazing. The paneer was soft and the mixed taste of pepper with the tomato sauce was a revelation. Tangerine and mixed nuts: They also made a homemade salad for the day with tangerine and mixed types of nuts. I have had a lot of salad lately and this one definitely ranks in the top 3. Loved the taste. We ended up finishing it. Smoked pork and beans: The first time I’ve tried pork with cranberry beans. This gravy included pork stew which was marinated with garlic and ginger paste, ground chilli and cranberry beans. It’s also been a very long time since I have had a very good pork stew. The meat was soft and not very chewy. That was a success. Also, they serve this with Eromba which is spicy mashed potato chutney. The chilli used is Bhut jolokia which is the spiciest chilli. They use a small portion but the result is spicy as hell. I have a low tolerance level. But for those who like this place will swear by the Eromba! The gray is also served with a bowl of steamed rice and steamed seasonal vegetables. Matcha green tea and chia seeds cream pudding: I have found a new love in form of Matcha after visiting Thailand in the summer. Since then, it’s just been matcha all the way. When I tried this pudding, the taste was amazing. It’s a must have! Conclusion: There are a lot of reasons why you must eat here. I’ll give you one. They love what they do. They put their 100%. You will not regret it at all.
