This place is practically an institution in the area. A landmark for the locals, nothing much has really changed over the years. Pretty standard north-west frontier, Punjabi, Chinese, mughlai type of place. The decor and food are the same ever since we can remember. It stays open pretty late. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. Midrange prices and reasonably good service.

I ordered the food online last week as it was raining heavily and the roads were water logged. But still the restaurant delivered the food on time in an eco friendly bag. I had ordered Butter chicken, chicken tikka and chicken boneless biryani. Butter chicken was tasty and so was the biryani. But biryani was slightly more spicy. Food-4/5 Service-4.5/5 Extra marks for on time delivery inspite of rain Value for money -4/5

Food: 4/5 Pricing: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5     Ambience: 3.5/5 Return Value: 4/5 Recommendations- Crispy Chicken, Murg Chilly Milly Kebab, Chicken in Hot Black Garlic Sauce Sheetal Bukhara has been around for as long as I can remember. This is an old-school restaurant which is a perfect place for a cozy family meal. I have visited this place numerous times in the past now but over the years my visits have reduced. I was here recently for a family get together and the place hasn’t changed one bit. In the past my meals here sometimes were an absolute hit or sometimes very average. AMBIANCE The ambiance is decent, with clean and classy interiors. There is a soft music that plays in the background which makes it perfect for easy conversations. They have many seating options, the sofa seats and also the chairs and tables. They have a seating downstairs and upstairs. On weekends usually this place runs full so it is necessary to get a reservation to avoid waiting for long. SERVICE The service on this particular day was great. The place wasn’t overly crowded and servers were quick and attentive. One particular server made some excellent food suggestions which turned out to be bang on and extremely delicious. All in all I was impressed. FOOD What I Ordered- Sweet Corn Chicken Soup- One of my favourite ways to start a meal here, basic hot soup with a thick consistency and good amount of chicken pieces. Rating-4/5 Price-Rs 195/- Chicken Lollipop Bukhara- I felt like I was eating chicken lollipop after ages. These were deep fried and lightly seasoned and was medium spicy. These tasted okay, I was expecting the chicken to more juicy but this had an a little more of a dry texture than usual. There were about 6-7 pieces of chicken lollipop. Rating-3/5 Price-Rs 310/- Crispy Chicken- Chicken pieces deep fried and having a soggy coating and served with a spicy gravy to be drizzled on the crispy chicken. This whole combination was delicious and an absolute hit for me so much so I re-ordered this starter. The chicken was juicy and slightly crunchy. The gravy has a thin texture and when poured on top makes the dish pretty spicy. A must try. Recommended Rating-5/5 Price-Rs 345/- Murgh Chilly Milly Kebab- This was a hit starter again. These were boneless chicken pieces, marinated in some delicious masala and grilled to perfection. The chicken pieces were thick and juicy and very soft and easy to eat. The taste was on the spicier side and was extremely delicious. This was served with a side of onion salad as well. I paired this with the green chutney they had served. This is must try. Highly Recommended Rating-5/5 Price-Rs 355/- Murg Makhanwala- Shredded chicken pieces cooked in mild tomato gravy. The taste of this was slightly sweet not too much. The gravy had a perfect consistency.  The taste was good and rich. I paired this with some tandoori roti and butter naan. Rating-3.5/5 Price-Rs 360/- for Murg Makhanwala Rs 38/- for Tandoori Roti Rs 66/- for Butter Naan Chicken in Hot Black Garlic Sauce- This was Chinese gravy which I paired with Schezwan Fried Rice. The gravy was spicy with dominant flavours of garlic and a little lit of black bean sauce. The gravy had diced chicken pieces with some bell peppers and onion. The gravy had a nice thick consistency. The base of this gravy was soya sauce and black bean sauce and was absolutely delicious and lip smacking. A must try. Recommended Rating-4/5 Price-Rs 350/- Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice- This was good; the rice was cooked well with minimal artificial flavours and was slightly spicy. The quantity of this was decent. Rating-4/5 Price-Rs 310/- PRICING The pricing is decent, not too high. All the dishes are averagely marked ranging between Rs 300/- to Rs 350/-. The quality of the food is good, the quantity of some dishes could have been better. The restaurant charges a 5% GST. My bill for all the dishes I tried was about Rs 3385/-. FINAL THOUGHTS Overall I had a good meal here, most of the dishes were a hit for me. If looking for a place for a family meal with good food which is not too fancy this can be surely considered.
