Good Enough

I went here on a Tuesday evening after work with a colleague. Since we had reached soon after it had opened, we managed to get a table easily. I've been to a few thali places and I love, love, love a good thali. The thali had: Starter - Lilva Kachori and Barfi Dhokla served with three types of chutneys Main course - Paneer Tikka Masala, Bhindi Kashmiri, Aloo Rassawala, and Mogar Lachka Rotis - Fulka Roti, Masala Puri Rice - Plain Rice and Khichdi Dal/Kadi - Gujarati Dal, Gujarati Kadi, Teekhi Dal Desserts - Gulab Jamun and Pineapple Halwa All of this was served with Chaas on the side as well as pickle and papad. I had a few favourites. I loved their kachori, it was brilliant. The dhokla was nice as well. However, I wasn't a big fan of the bhindi or of the mogar lachka. But I did love the paneer and the aloo dishes. They were yumm! Now, we served the Gujarati dal and kadi but we learnt later that we could've opted for the teekhi dal had we asked for it. So, if you guys plan to visit and are not a big fan of Gujarati dal, do mention to them that you'd rather have the teekhi dal. The dal and kadi were about all right but the major disappointment was actually their dessert. Both of the desserts weren't great. They weren't even good. All in all, it was a pretty decent meal. Oh and if you visit on a Tuesday, the Thali costs slightly lesser than 250. Lucky for me, I visited on a Tuesday. So for the price I paid, this thali was very good. Ambience - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Food - 3.5/5 Value for money - 4.5/5

Not fond of thalis but though being an ideal place for family lunch/dinners, we happened to be at this place. And we found the service real quick!! Decent ambiance with decent food but aamras was definitely a bonus!!! Veggiecravings recommends!!

What to say about the place? From entry to exit, everything was so average. Food hardly had any taste, neither the hospitality had. Only one is allowed to have endless quantity. If you love food please skip the place, place is for big eaters....
Insane!

Panchayat Gaurav is a simple place, yet ideal for a family dinner. We visited it on a Saturday evening, and though it was a bit crowded, we didn't have to wait for a table. The thaali here is delicious. I have been to this place earlier as well, and they have never failed to amaze me, in terms of the food quality (and quantity too!). They have a monumental variety of dishes to offer – be it the farsaan, the lip-smacking vegetable curries, the soft khichdi and kadhi, or the irresistible desserts. As mentioned, the quantity is ENORMOUS, so make sure you go there with a huge appetite (Skip breakfast if you must!) The farsan was amazingly fresh, and consisted of the traditional Indian Papad, small, crispy samosas and fluffy, delicious dhoklas. The dhoklas were soft and palatable, and the samosas were crunchy and spicy, with an accompaniment of several chutneys and tangy pickles. There was a huge variety of sabzis too. Paneer Angara consisted of tiny cubes of soft, well-cooked paneer in a velvety, red gravy that added a fiery twist to our dinner, and lived upto it’s name. There was also a mixed vegetable preparation, which, though on the milder side, was extremely appetizing and yummy, and Aloo Rassawala – potatoes cooked in a rich, delectable gravy. The rotis were served hot, with dollops of ghee. They also offered small, hot puris with the sabzis, and aamras, which, needless to say, was divine. The khichdi was soft and fulfilling – typical comfort food. For all the kadhi lovers, their dal and kadhi are amazing, so don’t miss out on those! Hundreds of calories were plonked down on our plates, in the form of the most awaited dish on the menu – the dessert. Malpua is a traditional North Indian dessert with sweet and crispy pancakes coated with sugar syrup and loaded with ghee. The very first bite of this delicacy was full of heavenly sweetness, and I couldn’t stop at just one! We concluded our dinner with refreshing Chaas, which left behind a lingering sweet taste. The service is very quick and highly efficient. I'd definitely recommend this place to all the thaali lovers!
