#Ratings: Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 5/5 VFM: 5/5 Overall: 5/5   Concept Testing: Mabruk is a Lebanese and Mediterranean restaurant which serves some of the finest and the most delicious Lebanon and Arabic food. Their whole idea is to bring food of all the Arabic nations to this restaurant to give them an authentic taste and feeling.   Ambiance & Service: The structure of Sahara Star is like a globe and they have restaurants that serve cuisines from all over the world. There are magnificent shamianas which overlook a body of water which they have created. The seating is made so comfortable that it will be very difficult for you to leave the place! The overall lighting is ambient. There was live singing when we visited the place by Mr. Raja Pandit and it was definitely a soothing experience for us. Well, I don’t think I need to talk about the service of the staff at Mabruk and Sahara Star because it is phenomenal.   Coming to what we had:   Drinks:   Lemon Maa Ward: Basically this is  a traditional welcome drink made of fresh lime, mint and rose water.   Koshaf: Orange and Mango topped with nuts. That sounds like something everyone would wanna have! Food: The chef wanted us to have the whole variety, so he brought us cold and hot mezze platters and he was kind enough to sit with us and explain the whole dish. The mezze platter was toothsome and quite filling. There was a balance of vegetarian and the non-vegetarian dishes in the platter and both were equally amazing!   Desserts: We had the absolute favourite and popular dessert – Baklava! The best preparation I would say which had the perfect crunch and the sweetness was appropriate, not too sweet.   This is one of the most amazing place that I have visited and especially if you are an Lebanese or Mediterranean fan, you should definitely give it a try!

Been to sahara quite several time but yet havent even been to mabruk. So basically this was my first time. Mabruk is Lebanese and Mediterranean speciality restuarant. Chef Jihad hosted us really well. The ambiance was really nice especially for a romantic dining. You too have ocean restaurant for romantic dining as well. Chef Jihad is from Lebanon and he treated us with all his authentic dishes. We had Lemon Maa Ward at the start, its basically a very refreshing drink with blend of fresh lime, mint and rose water. We had the platter of cold and hot mezzeh. Cold mezzeh platter had Hummus, Moutabal, Mou’Hamara, Fattoush and Babaganouj. I loved the cold mezze especially the Babaganouj and Hummus. Hot mezzeh had Falafel, Sambousek (it was like a samosa in a lebanese style stuffed with spinach and lebanese cheese which is hallami cheese), Safi’ha (spinach and pinenuts pockets) and Manakeesh (basically a small lebanese pizza). To be honest i had the hot mezze for the first time excluding the falafel, and it was too good specially the Sambousek and Manakeesh. We had Falafel roll and Shawarma D’Jaj roll. Both were nice. I had Tagine Khodar as my main which was basically cous cous rice with moroccan vegetable stew. To be honest i had several moroccan stew but this was the best one. We had one more drink named Koshaf, basically it was apricot with orange juice and mango pulp. Drink was nice. Desserts were the best. Best baklava i ever had. And even the Umm Ali was the best. It was a butter rich pudding baked with cream and nuts. I really enjoyed my dinner over there with authentic lebanese food. With Anuja Patil

We’ve been to Sahara Star quite a lot of times and have had meals in almost every restaurant in it except Mabruk. We had a lot to look forward to as Mabruk has won many awards and is considered the best Mediterranean restaurant in Mumbai. Mabruk is an excellent place for anyone who loves authentic Lebanese food. It gives you the royal feel of perfect luxury dining in Mumbai. Being an open dining area, the ambience is steeped in rich culture and superlative luxury with water front seating. Very few places in Mumbai can boast such an amazing setup. Having a meal in Mabruk is an experience on its own The Finest Mediterranean cuisine with superior quality of ingredients & warm service and hospitality in Mabruk. Chef Jihad El’ Shami is one of the best chefs we’ve ever met. Very hardworking & polite, he personally ran us through detailed descriptions of each and every dish. He also gave us a wonderful insight into the history of many dishes. We started our Dinner with some lipsmacking drinks Koshaf It is basically an Egyptian drink blended with flavours of Apricot, Orange juice & Mango pulp & topped with nuts. It is must a try. Airan It was a yogurt based beverage blended with mint & cumin. It was yummy and a bit salty Next up were the Hot and Cold Mezzeh Platters. In the Cold Mezzeh we tried the Hummus Beiruti, Moutabal, Shanklish, Mou'Hamara, Warak 'Inab B'Zeit and Babaganouj. In the Hot Mezzeh we had the Jibne Sambousek, Safi'Ha, Batata Harrah's, and Falafels. The food was lipsmackingly delicious. We couldn't get over the Warak Inab B'Zeit. The stuffed vineleaves poached in olive oil and the sourness of the lemon was just an incredible combination. In the hummus, we highly recommend one have the hummus Beiruti. It was absolutely amazing with the extra strong garlic and lemon. We actually had to order an extra portion. We loved their Harissa sauce too, incase one likes to spice things up. In the main course we had the Tagine Khodar. A healthy option with couscous, chickpeas, almonds and Moroccan veggies. The combination of all went quite well. Wonderful meals deserve to end well and the baklawa and Mish moush B'Loz, had us wishing we left more space in our tummies for another portion. Overall this place deserves every award it has won and maybe more. Chef Jihad, started the place 12 years ago, and seems to put his heart and soul into every dish. The result?? A meal we won't forget in a long long time #3foodiotslifestyle #amaanarmaanvivek
