I was looking for good sizzler options near marine drive. Zomato suggest me the Gaylord with good review which was disappointing for me. I saw partiality in the hotel. They judge you on the basis of your outfits. If you look gentlemen you will get seat in smooth AC ambience otherwise you have to adjust outside enjoying the breeze of fan. No one was looking after us. Such a pathetic service. At the end food was not much delicious. So totally disappointing dinner it was.
Food was tasty, smaller portions, had butter chicken, bhuna mutton, paneer tikka masala, tadka dal, garlic naan, jeera rice & rotis, total of rs.3800
Of the many restaurants that have come and gone, one restaurant has stood the test of time. That is Gaylord. The interiors have more of less remained the same, yes the tapestry has changed and looks more vibrant now. The restaurant stays true to it old values to offer you one of the best indian gravys. Though the menu has undergone many changes over time and have incorporated many new dishes. One thing for certain is that the food is always a winner here. Being regular patrons at this place we are always very well taken care of and would like to thank the entire staff for their service. Special mention for the Chef Mr Birender who always dishes out some delicious food. Even the cake shop outside is fantastic. The cakes and breads are very nice, which explains why most of it is over by evening when people take take away on their way back. This is one place we will never get tired of visiting.

Visited the iconic Gaylord as was on my bucket list for quite some time. Alas, was disappointed. Ordered pasta in Alfredo sauce “ with broccoli topped with Parmesan cheese” to quote the menu. There was neither broccoli nor Parmesan. On second thought we did find a tiny piece of broccoli ( can see for urself) in the pic . The prices are high and at such a price u can’t give this quality of food.

Went for evening coffee and desserts. Ordered cappuccino. We were told to get our own desserts from their bakery. Got a baklava and a pineapple pastry. Taste wise the coffee was one of the best we have had. The desserts were a disaster. The pastry was too sweet while the baklava had burnt filling with too much oil.
