Cafe Oval Reviews and Ratings - Nariman Point, Mumbai
by Sainath Pawar
One of the oldest places serving beer as far as I can remember, been frequenting it since more than 20 years now, not much has changed though. It is a non fussy beer bar behind Eros offering only beer and limited choice of chakna. If you want a quick beer without any fuss and burning a hole in your pocket, this is the place to be.
Irani joints are my weakness. I have some kinda affection for such Irani cafes. They take you back in time when things were much gentle. This place has good collection of different beers. Chakna is OKish and staff can be given a miss.

Very Bad Experience...No Pitcher nothing no A.c no aie cooling....No Card Payment...Tried to make it good but i got very bad experience. Not Good
No frills only cheap thrills!! Set at the corner of the lane opposite to Churchgate station is this cozy little place that not only renders you a homely feeling but also takes you back to its times of glory. A beer only cafe summed up with a few food options this place manages quite well to serve you in the best way they can and retain their vintage style. The mezzanine floor, timber spiral staircases, vintage liquor bottles etc are all the part of their ambiance that really makes it different from the other fancy places. Though food is not great here rather no worthy, but the place is best to catch up few drinks with buddies and chat around. Verdict Not a usual place to hangout though. When in mood to just chill with beer, head on to cafe oval and yes try spotting a table on the mezzanine level coz seating's on lower level are bit too congested.

Nice cold beer in a reasonable rate. Good and polite staff, non air-conditioned but pretty cool hide out. Great location. Just adjacent to churchgate circle
