Santa's Fantasea Reviews and Ratings - Lake Garden, Kolkata

Avoid!

Rated 1.0 by Nilam Roy

Quality  detoriated. Ambience will be still the same so got bored, Service got stupid. You can seriously find its competitor like Ocean Grill and Pisces in the market. Their food quality really disappointed our whole lot of friends in the recent time.

Went to try octopus for the first time and ordered Smoked octopus with malaysian seafood noodles. Gravy was quite tasty and thr noodles was good too. We also ordered prawn bamboo shoot and it really yummy, a must try. The only downside is the quantity, quite less.

Insane!

Santa's Fantasea serves great Chinese and sea-food. They have a variety of items in their menu. I tried their: 1) Deep fried king fish 2) Shanghai Prawn 3) Teriyaki fish 4) Mongolian fish 5) Malaysian Rice I loved all the items, Shanghai Prawn and teriyaki fish being my favourite side dish. The Malaysian green rice tasted so much better than I had expected. I highly recommend this place if you want to try sea food cuisine!

Authentic sea food and tribal cuisine is what SF serves , each item has it's own distinct taste and the stand out item is their baansh pora mutton . Other delicacies includes octopus and squids .The interior decor is pretty decent with comfortable seating.Would definitely love a second visit

Santa's Fantasea is a place which brings together two of my favorites, seafood and the tribal cuisine. So whenever I visit this place, I always create a combination of the two. This Golpark restaurant is a proud owner of the best Seafood award, and I'd say it's one of the safest you'll get. The interiors have a rustic feel, which has been created by various tribal elements, and it's well put. The Patrapora mutton is a favourite, and rightly so. With just the right amount of herbs and spices and tandoor-ed inside banana leaves, it's nothing like our regular starters, and I can't get enough. It's a must try. Coming to the main course, the waiter pressed on going with the Malaysian Seafood rice, and he wasn't wrong. Along we that we decided to experiment with the Smoked Octopus, I have never tried it before and I'd say it really is tasty once you get used to it. They use a lot of herb and lemongrass which provides a wonderful flavour. All in all, it was a satisfying experience and this restaurant still remains a safe go-to for me in the golpark area.
