Blah!

It's a small air-conditioned restaurant near Deshapriya Park. Bus stop is Deshapriya. It is towards the stadium side. I love a good paratha and heard much about this place. Multiple Kolkata food bloggers have praised its offerings, describing the parathas with suitable adjectives like "crisp", "flavourful", and filling. So it's natural that I pushed open the restaurant door with high hopes. Ordered a chicken paratha and a glass of gondhoraj lassi. The lassi came first, and it was delightful, with a wake-me-up zing which is the essential element of any gondhoraj having food. The paratha was a let-down. It was neither crisp, nor flavorful. An insipid creation, it was nowhere near like a good paratha should be. Two adjectives are apt for this dish: limp and uninspiring. The only plus point was the chicken. It was stuffed in copious quantities. Staff behaviour were exemplary. They were the only ones good about the place (other than lassi). Will I return? No

Absolutely loved this place. Will visit again and again. Both quality and quantity are very good. We had a pahari Paneer parantha, achari chicken paratha, chicken and cheese paratha and ofcourse their speciality the Chocolate paratha. Achari Chicken was the best. And the chocolate paratha was just heaven in a plate.

When it's paranthas you got to give it to Delhi.Every 'gali' has a parantha shop serving lipsmacking paranthas ,the taste of which one will carry with oneself even after leaving the city.Ordered for the first time. The very first bite of the classic gobi parantha took me back to one of those shops right away.Looking forward to trying all the other options.

Been a here a looot of times and love whatever they make. I don't even need to see the menu card. A very short menu to choose from but a whatever you choose you will not regret at all. Tried almost half of the items from achari chicken, chicken cheese, hawaian chicken, chilli garlic chicken to corn, mushroom cheese, aloo parantha. from chocolate, khoya gulkand parantha to mango, gereen, badam lassi,...everything is good and highly value for money. The best things are that I think they use wheat for making the dough and that's how a real parantha should be made. With curd and pickle it's too good. Must try.....mushroom cheese, nawabi chicken parantha, mango lassi and rabri badam lassi and definitely khoya gulkand parantha.
