La Maison Des Délices Reviews and Ratings - Keyatala, Kolkata

This place is generally huge but currently is under renovation so the seating capacity is lowered to max 20 people. The service is a little slow and the dishes lack that innovation or eye appealing presentation, but bang on in terms of taste. Pocket friendly and value for money 👍 Can't wait to revisit after the renovation is over !!

In frame: 1) Sancher pastry This pastry was far too stiff and despite the good decoration and presentations the pastry was a let down. I had expected more out of this Sancher pastry. It had this strange sour taste that felt out of place and overall, being a dessert person, I was quite disappointed.

One of the local favourites. Its in the lane right opposite to Azand Hind dhaba, hindustan park. Their cakes and pastries are moist, airy, light and taste sublime. Their is quite a variety and you leave with a smile without burning a hole in your pocket. Recommendations: Red velvet pastry, Chocolate mud cake, Chocolate pyramid

Good Enough

La Maison De Délices can be located easily in the alleys of Hindustan Park. I was pretty excited to try this place but I left with a bit of disappointment. I tried their Sacher, Victoria Pastry, Mudpie & Chef’s Special. What stood out the most was the mudpie & the victoria pastry was nice but nothing to hype about. Sacher would have been great too but there’s a mango drizzle inside it which completely spoils the taste of the pastry. The chef’s special was pretty basic too. The ambience is soothing but the service is a bit sluggish. However the prices of the pastries are on the lower side. All of the above costed me 294 (GST included). Not too sure whether I’d visit it again or not. I think its best not to experiment out here & stick to the basics.

Ordered a Hobbit-themed cake from the bakery. Patissier Mr. Sanjay Edmund was most patient and helpful about accommodating my ideas. Great experience. The price tag here for designer cakes is also more reasonable than those at similar establishments, at only Rs. 1600/- per pound (no extra charge for design). PC: Debarati Das
