Indthalia Reviews and Ratings - Keyatala, Kolkata
by Kolkata Food Blogger
I ordered fish orly , mixed fried rice and schezwan fish. The fish orly was really delicious. There were two pieces of fries and french fries also. It was presented with mayonnaise. Then the fried rice and fish arrived. I was disappointed with the taste. The rice had lots and lots of peas which is not acceptable at all in a Chinese dish. I personally hate the taste of peas. The fish had way too many star aniz ( I exactly don't know what it's called) but the smell was overwhelming. Though the fish was in huge quantity. There were 8 pieces of fish. More than enough for two people. Wouldn't recommend the schezwan fish.

I had hosted a party in December of 2017 in one of their banquets for 40 people. The food was average however the service was below par. They didn't even deploy a manager or anyone senior to oversee if the food items needed to be refilled. So had to constantly remind them to do the same. However since this place is close to my house and the location is convenient, I went back a week ago to enquire about available dates to host a birthday party for kids. They did recognise me as a potential repeat customer. However I needed to wait (although the restaurant was empty at that time) for reasons best known to them for someone to attend me. I was provided with the standard menu and the rates, which is no less than any other places of the same or better standard. The guy who attended me kept pushing me for a token advance to freeze the deal. I left the place saying that I would come back to them only if had made a decision to host it there. I got a call today from a Number: 9836585921 asking me if had made up my mind. I told him yes I did and I found a better option as their rates were not competitive. Upon saying this the Guy started yelling at me stating that I should have called and informed them as if I am in some sort of an obligation to do that. The tone and his rudeness actually made me kind of think of going back to report this to someone senior or the business owner who actually will loose future business for such pathetic and ill-mannered employees. But its not worth my time.

Oh my god, I had only ordered their veg schezwan noodles and was thoroughly disappointed. I had a dry chilli in literally every bite. The noodles was really dry. I tried it out because I had been waiting for my boyfriend at Hindustan Park after work and I was famished. It was a filling meal but I'm probably not going back here. The service is cordial.

The restaurant is located bang opposite to the lane of Basanti Devi college, been there a number of times.Prices are not too high. My favorite is chicken Tetrazzini and drums of heaven. If you are thinking not to splurge a lot this place is the best.
