Being a lover of thai food ,one of my friend suggested me to try baan thai ,an authentic thai restaurant in the grand Oberoi kolkata So it was basically a sunday evening and we were coming back from watching a show and I was very hungry so was thinking of a place to go so we ended up in baan thai Initially when we went there ,the manager directly rejected us the table but later my eyes went towards a traditional thai sitting style area and we finally got to sit there ,the sitting area basically comprised sitting down ,so later there was a lady staff who took the order We had ordered for the green thai curry served along with rice ,pad thai noodles and stirred fried vegetables , for fillers we got the potato chip fries Being so hungry this complete thai meal curbed my hunger cramp , the pad thai noodles was just out of the world ,the stirred fried vegetables was an healthy option to go for,and the green thai curry was an signature dish to go for and tasted extremelly good Service was a little slow initially but the best part was all the dishes were brought together and served hot After the meal we ordered a grand hotel special dessert ,it was basically an ice cream sandwich ,the dessert was delicious but we were willing to have more chocolate sauce on the top but by the time the sauce came we were almost done with the dessert ,this was a small flaw I found here Theres a fake ranbir Kapoor out there ,his name was sheshankh ,indeed looks like ranbir kapoor,so meet him if your a rk fan 😂😂😂 Altogether a must try place for all thai food lovers

Authentic Thai flavours in a royal Thai setting along with stellar service - that sums up our Baan Thai experience I guess. Starting off with the food first - we had the customary Tom Yum soup and Fish in spicy Thai paste at first. The soup was really well-balanced in its flavours and the fish was just the right amount of spicy. Next we had the Baan Thai Curry (comes with steamed rice), Pad Thai noodles and Grilled pork. The pork was perfectly done. The curry and noodles were par excellence as well. While pampering your taste buds, do have a look at their unique cocktail/mocktail selection. The interiors have a majestic Thai feel to them. In fact there is a section where you can sit on the floor with low tables and eat in the traditional Thai way. The service was spot on as well. However, do make a reservation if you are planning visit on a weekend.

Celebrated my wife's birthday with my parents and in laws over here. We were awestruck by the grand entrance of the GRAND. After that we were escorted to the restaurant, mesmerised by the teak wood furniture and the glass top dinner table. Food was very good, especially the glass noodles and the awesome cooked pork.
