Adarsha Hindu Hotel Reviews and Ratings - Ballygunge, Kolkata

This place is located inside gariahat market and i prefer to eat on days when I crave for 'bhaat'.The best part is they give u water in 'bhar' earthen glass and gives u little bit of childhood Bengali biye Bari (marriage) feeling.I had ordered chicken meal which was about Rs 130's a hotel for normal office goers if u r thinking about a comfortable AC restaurant then this isn't the place ...looking for a quick grab of meal within budget grt ..can try

Good Enough

It's a very popular and old pice hotel inside the Gariahat market. Very basic seating. Prompt service, hot food. Plenty of fish varieties, tasty and yummy. Mourola maach torkari, parshey jhal, chitol peti was our order this time. Each dish was perfectly made. Many high rated Bengali restaurants nearby should take a lesson in cooking from this kitchen. Keep it Up Adarsh Hindu Hotel!!

Adarsha Hindu hotel is located inside Gariahat market and is the most popular pice hotel in the area. It was almost buzzing with customer when we reached. We ordered plain rice, mourolla chorchori, pabda sorse, chitol peti and chicken curry along with tomato khejurer chatni. We wanted to order mutton but it was over :( Coming to the food, taste was good but the extraordinary punch was missing. Quality of fish was very good though but the gravies were a bit runny. Quantity of a plate of chicken is huge and tastewise also nice. Chatni was a bit disappointment. Pricing is high for a pice hotel. Service is really good. Overall an okay experience.

No nonsense simple homely Bengali food. Big portioned fish, Dal and bhaja. Absolutely not posh. Just go for the food. Has been there for like ages. I have packed on various occasions. DO NOT order anything out of the ordinary. Just their Bengali thalis
