Mehak - Hotel Jaipur Palace Reviews and Ratings - Jyoti Nagar, Jaipur
by Sasha Priyo
It's an old hotel and it has somewhat lost its shine. It use to be a buzzing place with live western music at dinner time. It's understandable as other places are offering better services in the same price band. It's restaurant Mehak is still a very good place to get good Indian food, both vegetarian and non vegetarian. As far as continental stuff is concerned it can disappoint you a little but it's not bad. The service here is slightly slopy some times especially keeping the standards expected from such a place. So its the value for money where this place is loosing out which they should workon to bounce back. As far as ambiance is concerned it's fine from the comfort point of view but it's very basic and slightly dull and boring. Still if anybody wishes to have good Indian food this place can be recommended.
Was there last when it was a new 5 star hotel way back in 1991. Visited again last summer. It was painful to see the place going down to seed. Would definitely not recommend. It is on a downhill course and I wonder whether it has reached the bottom or has crossed it onto an upward journey ...i hope for the latter...

This restro in hotel Jaipur Palace is amongst one of Jaipur's best in terms of taste of food and ambience. Have gone there a few times but am posting about it only now because of a particular dish I had. The roghan josh. It's a preparation of mutton which I thoroughly enjoyed and hope that non veg lovers also try it and enjoy it.

It was the one of those hotel who's memories are still alive with me, I was to young 7-8 yrs old when i went there with family and for me it was the 1st of its own kind, I still have some faded memories of those time in which i had a soup, a pizza, and some Indian course order by my dad. some1 was singing very loudly. these were old days during all these year I have been kept going on and on and on Recently on my last bday I had a family dinner here and it was just a good one for me, For change we had entire Chinese course and it was a great experience. We had Creamy veg soup, Manchurian, fried rice, Hakka noddles it was a very well prepared and upto my taste, Service has been very good

One may rely on the quality of the food if you know some one in this hotel. Service by any standards is very poor.
