Excellent place for lunch or dinner. Truly authentic and real Thai. Not to mention the great Taj service. Must try - Pad Thai Noodles, Tom Yam Soup and Papaya Salad.

First impression of this place, it is upscale and the food is authentic Thai in comparison to the competition. I’ve been here twice and among foodies in hyd that I know they rate this place as one of the best though I did not share that same experience. I would assume people who visit often who what is best here unlike me. The food is not bad by any means but it didn’t blow me away either. One thing that was odd is the taste profiles of mock tails, we would assume most mock tails would have a sweet profile but two that we ordered were sour and spicy. A disclaimer on the menu would have been nice and expected. I will revisit and update my review at that point.

As we entered inside, the guest relations executive welcomed us with a smile. I really liked the ambience. The choice of material was in keeping with the traditional south east Asian style of incorporating woods in different forms. The lighting was dim and perfect for an ideal romantic date. There were only 5 customers including us that evening and so it was quiet and peaceful with the soulful and enchanting music in the background. The service was wonderful and quick. We ordered for a curry and a bowl of Jasmine rice (my favourite) but the former was very dry so we asked if we could get something wet and liquidy. The waiter went in and asked the chef and returned with a positive reply. Soon, we had a small bowl of a vegetarian gravy. We also ordered for an appetiser that was really tasty. The dry curry that we ordered was packed with flavours and fresh produce sautéed and mix with soya sauce. We loved it. In the beginning, we thought it would not be enough but we were wrong. Towards the end of the main course, we were full and could not order a dessert. But, I’d also like to indicate that the dessert menu is not that fancy or would tempt us to order. There are plenty of non-veg options for non-vegetarians. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. Hope to visit soon.
