The review is based on what I ate today. I hope to return to try some of the other interesting things listed on the menu. A long leisurely lunch and lots of gupshup over some organically sourced food at Jivati. Pradeep Choudhury was kind enough to give me a tour of the kitchen and store to show me the humungous lobsters, crabs and prawns. I felt really guilty about telling him that I don't eat seafood! I gave in to his beseeching and reluctantly agreed to try the River fish fry 😋 I finished my half! It was really well made, didn't find it too oily or spicy, I enjoyed the marinade. Surkh Murg ke Johel - Nice. I was skeptical about trying country chicken as I don't care for tough meat but this one was obviously a well marinated young bird so not chewy at all. Kadaknath chicken gravy - ordered this for the novelty factor. I'm not very experimental with food so the black flesh took a little getting used to. I like my chicken as white meat thank you very much. Kashmiri naan - Nice; I have had better. Picked up a few groceries from the in house organic store. There was a BOGO offer on a few spices.

jivati restro located on jubilee hills rd no 36 where there are many pubs restaurants and lounges, jivati started serving organic veg food and since that time i wanted to try this place out and recently they started serving non veg food and they have kadaknath chicken in their menu which is madhya pradeshs special black chicken which exited me more to try this place out and got a chance to visit this place for dinner it was a buffet. the ambiance is good they have a separate section where they sell organic products veggies, fruits, cosmetics baby products and etc. coming to the food the dishes didnt impress me much the food was cold not even warm some dishes tasted just average the kadaknath chicken was in gravy it was good the meat doesnt taste like the normal chicken which we get here.the sultani kamaragah was the best dsh i had here it was cold but when asked again they gave a piping hot piece which was very tasty.the paneer tikka and chapala vepudu were good and in desserts the gajar ka halwa was superb loved it , it was just a nice experiance having dinner here.the dishes were all made with organic products .

I was very excited to visit Jivati as it was recommended by my friend for its Lobster and Crab dishes.. I invited other friends to join too but the experience turned out to be the opposite. The main attraction - "Lobster" was not fresh and was undercooked. It was chewy. We ordered the Lobster platter, one Paneer Punjabi curry, Chicken gravy and some Naan breads.. There were very few Lobster pieces to eat . The platter had prawns and fishes too. I was disappointed with the lobster. Prawns and fish were good. After which we had our main course the curries and breads. They tasted average. Staff was friendly. The wait time was very high. One point I really liked is they served us country chicken not poultry chicken in the chicken curry. Overall experience was average. Not upto the mark. Overly priced. Ambience and Service - 3.5 Food- 2 I would not like to visit this place again.

#OrganicFood FoodKlicks Jivati Restro is a really good and courageous initiative which serves only organic food. When I say courageous, I think of number of people who appreciate the costing and goodness of organic food. And also the number of people who can pay a regular visit to the place for organic food. I wanted to try this place but the pricing kept me at bay. And here was the event from a group! Rs. 400 for a decent spread which, and I decided not to miss this opportunity. Coming down straight the food now, we started with the soup, #BhuneGoshtKaShorba, a perfect soup for the weather, light consistency spicy, excellent! Then there were the starters #BharwanTandooriAloo #AfghaniPaneer #JhingaZafraani #SultanEKamargah and #ChapalaVepudu. All the starters were good my personal favorites were Sultan-e-Kamargah, huge lamb ribs in rich cashew marination loved it! Chapala Vepudu, really soft fish pieces fried with lighltly spiced masala! Few items from the main course were, #KadaknathKashmiriKukkad #CrabCurryWithCoconutAndChilli #DumGoshtBiryani #PaneerKiMethidarQaliyan #DoharaChokeKiDal. The Crab Curry was just amazing and it was a perfect combo with #ButterGarlicNaan, it still lingers in my mind. Kadaknath Chicken has gained lot of popularity in past few months, so even I was excited to try it. The meat actually is dark and looks black. Taste wise there is not much of difference but the meat is soft yet a bit chewy! Was good experience to try. I generally don't ear papad in buffets but tried the different #MasalaPapad here and liked them. Ended the evening on a sweet note with a pretty extra sweet #OrganicGajarKaHalwa and #GulabJamun. Overall I would say it was a nice experience, just one thing I would like to convey to the kitchen staff and management is that although the dishes, taste wise are good but not the best and when you have got some amazing and costly ingredients, it would be great if, mor flavours can be added to them. People who really understand and like organic food should really try out this place. Food: 3.7 Ambiance: 4.0 Service 4.0 Pricing: $$$
