This place is very calm and cozy. Their jasmine tea is amazing and what they serve as welcome salad is also good. However, we were a little disappointed with the food. We ordered their chef specials - lobster and duck. The chef made it very nice, but the duck meat did not go well with our palates.. We did not enjoy the duck at all.. Lobster was also OK. But I am rating it as 4 only for their excellent service. They were regularly checking with us on food. When we informed them that we did not like the meat, their chef personally came to us to talk about it. The food was average for us, we had tastier and well made lobster at other places, but giving them a 4 star only for their service. Not in my regular go to list for sure. You can try it once if you like sushis and typical Asian/Chinese food.

Having read so many positive reviews of Holy Basil, at Radisson Blu, which serves Asian, Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine, we decided to go there for a light supper, as we were in the vicinity. Location of Radisson Blu is not on the main road. Holy Basil has a captivating red and black decor and it's design in an Oriental theme is elegant. We enjoyed the soothing Jasmine tea and a couple of complimentary mini starters. The energetic and pleasant hostess Phiri, was all about the place in the beginning, as we were one of the first guests. I was really happy to order the Burmese non veg soup, Khow Suey, a tasty dish prepared by my Maternal family and me, but was not really satisfied with my choice later on, when it was presented to us. The hostess, suggested a Yakimes non veg rice, nothing exceptional to write about. Coming back to the Khow Suey, first of all it had to be served piping hot, as it was a soup. Secondly, the portion was too little. Usually, two bowls are served, one with a curry/soup liquid dish with lots of shredded chicken and many slices of boiled egg and one bowl with rice noodles. The generous amounts of coconut cream milk and condiments have to be mixed into the soup when preparing, to get a distinct flavour and aroma. Only half a boiled egg was served in in the soup!!! The accompaniments of fried onions, fried garlic, spring onions et all which were served were nice. The rice dish was only served to us after we finished the soup, hence was very dry, had to request for tomato ketchup. This had to be served along with the soup, as it was ready and kept on the counter too. 😂 My experience in this fine dining restaurant, did not match up to my expectations. There should be some kind of coordination between the Staff here, when the order is taken, to when the dishes are served, so that the guest is left satisfied. There were mostly hotel guests, present for dinner, I guess the proximity of the Hotel to the main road and the pricing makes the local crowd go to other good restaurants. Hope to come back here one day, and have a better dining experience.

Well if there was an option of giving no star , I’d give it to this restaurant. Firstly, zero taste and value for money and does the chef know what is he making? Well I guess no. Very bad experience with everything we tasted. Nothing was good. Good luck..

This place is in Radisson Blu so it is bit inside from the main road. Ambience wise this place is definitely a 4 star out of 5. With respect to the food , I loved their Thai green curry and Jasmine rice. Their creme brulee was decent. However, I was really disappointed with tempura, it was really bland. But for tempura, I would have given this place 4 stars. Would definitely like to visit again in future.
