This small and cosy place is now among my top places for romantic dinners in the city. There is an air of sophistication about this place, however, it does not intimidate you. In fact, the staff is very courteous and they’ll do every possible bit for making you feel comfortable - it is the kind of politeness you’d find at a 5-star hotel, but with none of the mingled snobbery. I went to this place for my birthday dinner with a friend. The Jazz Club was packed with people, however, this place wasn’t, so we got the table of our choice. The music was beautiful - mellow jazz - mostly saxophone and clarinet. I ordered a glass Fratelli Caberner Shiraz and my friend ordered a White Rhino . I had put an effort to dress up. The wine was tasting extraordinarily good in those surroundings and with my mood. My friend became a fan of White Rhino that day, so did I. It is our favourite beer now. We ate a lot. We ordered Pan Seared Palm Hearts with Lemon and Dill. The pan hearts were refreshingly tangy and had a nice texture. I loved the grilled veggies that they had given on the side. Next, we had the Pizza Verdure. Now, I’m a huge fan of pizzas and my favourite ones are thin crust pizzas heaped with cheese and veggies. Magic Italy in Palolem is a place very dear to my heart. The lady is Italian and sources her ingredients from Italy and Spain. Dirty Apron’s Pizza reminded me of those pizzas and I wanted to cry. Anyway, after the pizza, we got greedy and ordered a Khao Suey. The Khao Suey, as expected, was on point and came with the whole gamut of additives. After we had gobbled up that too, I felt it was enough. We left, but promised ourselves that we’d bring our friends here soon. We still haven’t been able to do that, but we will soon. This place has me head over heels in love with it. RECOMMENDED.
