One of the oldest restaurants as they claim to be, it is one of the best places where you get to taste proper South Indian delicacies. The service is also quiet good and the ambience as well. Lunch menu is good, especially curd rice.! The medu vadai is also one of my favourites! Recently we went for breakfast again. Ordered masala dosa and onion dosa, both of them were superr tasty. We also had chilled Badam milk which was too yummy!!

Taste : 4/5 ; Ambiance : 3.5/5 ; Service : 3.5/5 ; VFM : 4/5 This Particular restaurant has been in this locality for quite some years now..the local ppl claim this to be more than 15 yrs old...thats even before the bloom of the IT Corridor..so when a restaurant is in business for such a long time they definitely should be serving something worth while...Always full and busy with ppl swarming in for quick bites..Have visited this outlet around a dozen times atleast.. Located very next to the Aravind Theatre and hot chips in karapakkam..has some decent parking space in the Service lane..The restaurant is a small one and often you end up sharing tables as this is a preferred place for many in this locality for a quick bite..The Service is quick and prompt and thats about it... The tiffen items are my usual orders here..the Porri masala and the pongal are my favorites...The Dosa varieties are decent in taste....I have always found the dosa and chutney varieties to be fresh and tasty... Pricing is nominal and perfect for the food served...and hence making it complete VFM...

An ideal place to grab a quick bite for breakfast on the way to your office. Tastes good. Reasonably priced. Quick service too. Ambience could be improved.

The place is where you get comparatively good food for the price you pay. Comparatively  to other Neighboring restaurants ... ! Worth the money you pay. Only Veg Foods .. !

It's been months since I've written to Zomato to list this restaurant and finally it's listed. It's an 18 year old restaurant which serves good food. It is adjacent to Aravind theatre,karapakkam. It's been around more than a year that I'm eating from here. You might've to share your table with strangers, as the place is small and everyone prefer this restaurant for a quick bite. I've tried almost everything there, idiyappam is the best. Chilli porotta,chappathi,poori are also good. Tea/coffee/ other hot beverages is bit costly and too little. Place is clean (except near the wash). But overall it's one of the few restaurants i trust in. At juice shop (Nizar's ) next to udupi, you'll get cold pressed (in a way? mosambi juice which is awesome.
