I was looking for a nice restaurant to take my wife on her birthday. While glancing in Nearbuy app, got this option. It was a tempting deal which fits my budget too. Being a 5 star hotel buffet lunch in my budget, went with this option. This place is easy to locate. Landmark by itself. Valet parking is available. Being a 5 star hotel, ambiance is biggest plus. Comfortable seating. Apt lighting. The restaurant is almost full when we went. Thank God I booked a table. Service is good. They were attentive to our needs. Soup and appetizers are served in table quickly. During my table booking they enquired whether any special occasion and I casually told about my wife birthday. They remembered it and gave a cake 🍰 to cut and eat while leaving. The veg buffet started with Mushroom 🍄 soup which is not great. Never had anything with that much of mushroom dominant smell. Followed by 2 chat items which are also not great. The sweet sauce is bit dominant. Then we are served with Gobi starter and Kebab. Gobi is okay while kebab is again disappointing. The starters ended here. We thought we will get some more varieties of starters. Then from array of dishes, had curd vadai, corn 🌽 and spinach bake, pulao, noodles, roti, gravy, steam rice 🍚, mango Dal and rasam. Skipped rest of them. Curd vadai is excellent. Soft and soaked well. Corn 🌽 spinach bake and mango Dal was awesome while noodles and rasam were not up to the mark. Finally went to desserts which were also average. Even the ice cream is not up to the mark. No comments on pricing since I went through deal and it is a 5 star hotel and can't expect to be cheaper. Overall average experience.

Eating is one of the great beauties in life. One of my favorite recreations… eating with friends, the service, the ambience. Reviewing a star property is not a easy part, when it comes to service and ambiance they will make sure they serve you the best, only thing which you can find some negative part would be the taste of the food, some likes the food some doesn't. I'm one among those who doesn't like star property food. But this place seriously took my breath with their luscious and mouth drooling food.

The residency - It gives us a royal experience in our singara chennai. Located at busy streets of alwarpet they offer variety of asian cusine that includes North Indian, South Indian, continental and chinese. One can also experience a live chaat counter here. Ambience was good, choosing royal and posh tables. The way food was arranged and ordered was so appealing and eye catchy. Starters and soups are perfect. The Salad area was really huge. Including Veg salads and Non-veg salads, Egg Salad and Chicken Salami were really good. Chicken Mayo Salad was average. Chicken and meat was so tender and moist and chef had prepared well with respective cuisine taste. Every dish was marked up for perfections and delicious. One could easily get yummied with lavish tastes of seafood varieties offered here. Squid and prawn remarked authentic continental taste. Which also accompany with choice of freshly made Appams, roti , Naans and paratha on row. Vegetarians have a huge choice with one Pasta option, Steamed veggies and Grilled potatoes, Lasagna, Cashew Paneer Curry, Veg Stew. The rice choices were Kashmiri Peas Pulao, Plain Steamed Rice. Chinese way cuisine also tasted zesty. One could feel fresh aromas of garlic and thyme. Dulcet desserts played their role very well. Let it be cheesecake, sacchrine filled falvoured cake, choco pie and laddu they tasted iconic. Its defenitely a recommended place for grandeur experience.

Buffets are decent but there is certainly a huge scope for improvement. Maybe if they would introduce a little more of the live counters it could help. Salads and cold cut section is passable. The Indian food section needs to be worked on, especially the biryanis. The Chaat counter served us stale pooris (Pani Poori). Desserts are very very average. The continental section is quite good. Food Quality is A class. Service is good too. They have two great singers humming lovely songs for your entertainment. If they work on their buffet menu and over come their shortcomings I am sure they could be serious competition to the other hotels.
