Shree Lalithaa Bhavan Reviews and Ratings - T Nagar, Chennai

Great!

Rated 4.0 by The Penny Pincher

I have eaten the thali lunch they offer at a very affordable price of 90 rs. It consisted of a typical banana leaf lunch with a complimentary dessert. The dishes served on the couple of occasions I went there were simple and tasty. The desserts were also very tasty. They also serve good coffee The staff was also very helpful as we were very complete novice at the customs of eating a traditional meal. They were very friendly. I would love to go again. Bon appetit!

In the busy streets of Pondy Bazaar, where food is also sold as a commodity at many food outlets, I found a cozy corner that serves food for the needy and greedy equally. I’m not going to create much hoopla around but I would leave you with a promise that this place is a must-go for people who would want to sit and have a peaceful lunch, away from the chaos of shopping hub. What is so special about their Menu? They have on their menu South Indian “Thala vaazhai elai saapadu” for which you get a great “Gavanippu” as people are always on a look out for your need, giving you a sense of “Kalyana Pandhi”. If you are a South-Indian craving for South -Indianised North-indian food items and Indianised Chinese food items, this place is a definite pull-over Among the restaurants that try to rope in people with their minimal offers on Native food, charging exorbitant amount because of the Organic-Food-Cloud, these people have all the long forgotten native foods like, Thinai Pongal, Kudhiraivali Kichidi,Varagu Upma and many more at a reasonable rate with no noise. Signature Dishes: Keera Vadai, Ashoka Halwa Ambience Sometimes being ordinary is so special, having the restaurant set up with ample amount of tables and an air-conditioned floor to help you fight the summer season, Lalitha Bhavan offers you a typical feel of a South Indian Hotel. Service When you order food, what makes you order more is the time-taken to fulfill the order. They have very less response time. Bill: What words can’t do, numbers can do. For some of you who find the above-mentioned things unbelievable, attaching the BILL for your perusal. Easy finding of the Restaurant: Opposite to Pondy Bazaar Naidu hall, there is a standee pointing to the location of Shree Lalitha Bhavan. VFM: Does anything need to be even said on this?  It is a money-worthy-drool-worthy-food. TL;DR: Location – 5 Menu – 4.5 Ambience – 4 Service – 4.5 VFM – 4.8 Overall – 4.5 /5

They serve the best authentic tamil nadu meals. The food is mouth watering and tastes awesome with the pure ghee. The AC room service in the first floor is peaceful and free from street's buzzing traffic.

I see a lot of hype about this restaurant, especially on line recommendations from friends.. And Zomato reviews. Decided to check it out today and the place was exactly how I expected it to be. My Fair and Neutral ratings are as follows: Taste/ preparation 3/5 Service 4/5 Cost: 2.5/5 (cheap but over priced for what you get) Value for money: 3/5 Even in this very small place (just two customers and waiters were idling) the waiters were not aware what was in today's menu. There are many reputed eateries nearby qgo offer excellent value.

I have been eating here quite a some time since their opening.. Everything they prepare tastes authentic and Homely. I love their unlimited meals during the lunch time. They start the meals by post morning itself so that u can directly have meals for brunch during holidays. Their tiffin varieties are also equally good. This place is not a fancy place where you take your girl friend.. But definitely a place where you can go with family and friends and have good South indian food. Their speciality is Ashoka Halwa. I am not a sweet tooth but my friends said it was good. Their filter coffer is one of the best. The ambience is very neat and Homely. There was a slight hiccup in service during their initial days but they coped up really well now and the service is very friendly. Got an opportunity to talk with the owner and he is very happy to listen to my feedbacks and suggestions. Old man with very friendly attitude. Prices are very competitive and because of 12% gst they have hiked their prices. But still it won't bite your pocket tht hard. Over all a very nice place that serves some really good and authentic south Indian food. #happy #eating
