Kottaram Reviews and Ratings - Perungudi, Chennai
by Umamahesh Waran
Went here with my friends on a Friday and I am glad I did everything from starters to dessert were authentic. You could actually smell the coconut oil from the dishes. The taste was very close to what you will get if you were to actually go to Kerala. Since I have been to Kerala many times I know this is authentic food. This is highly recommended for people wanting a taste of Kerala cuisine.

This restaurant is very expensive considering the quality of food served. Today I ordered meals and fish fry. The side dishes served with the meal were quite tasteless. And the fish fry was ages old. The fish meat was red in colour and it smelled like dried fish. When I complained about this to the cashier, he wouldn't even listen to me. Another Kerala restaurant - spices of Kerala, that operates near Kottaram serves far better meals for lesser price and the staff there are very cordial.

Worst service I ever experienced. They doesn't care about the customer. Ambiences is worst Overall I wouldn't suggest anyone to go there. 😡

Unarguably one of the best restaurants in Perungudi area for Kerala food lovers. This place is not for people who want a dining experience. Go there just for the food coz the seating is pretty ordinary and more often than not the AC doesn't work. Coming to food, the Biriyani, Kerala Parantha, Meals (Red rice) are top class. Visit the place to enjoy Kerala cuisine at pocket friendly rates.
