Haritam Reviews and Ratings - Kilpauk, Chennai

The forgotten flavours of the south reads the tag line ... and it's veg ! I went along with My dosa loving parents 🤣 on the main road with prominent hoardings !! Easily found ! The restaurant starts from second floor ! We found it spacious and was few customers scattered around ! Courteous staff and not much to talk about in terms of decor ! So we sat enjoying the view across the glass and scanned the menu ! It's a pretty straight forward choice with my parents - poori, Phulka, garlic naan and peas masala ! Surprisingly, no idly and dosa - well I put my foot down ! First up was the poori - crispy is the word ! Very low on oil ! And lovely potato side ! And surprise tomato and onion also - childhood memories ! Yumm ! Got me reminding of good old days ! Phulka was soft ! The healthy bread according to my mom ... garlic naan was again crisp and less oil ! There was not much burnt bottom which my dad appreciates ... I could taste the garlic all the way ! Green peas masala - was good ! Rich masala offering ! Not much Complains with the old recipe ! I had to finish of with jeers rice ! Don't know why though ! Rich on ghee ... aplenty ! Along with the masala, wiped the bowl clean ! Had a happy smile when we walked out !! And ya the GST of 100 on 500 bill was again a shocker how many ever times we see 😕 Kudos
PATHETIC STAFF! i had ordered special haritam meals where there was kurma but no paratha,no pickle,no sambhar which were supposed to be a part of meals.when i informed them they made false promise of resending the missing items but they didnt send it and kept lieing that it was on the way.

Food is good but Service let us down very badly. The juice we ordered as accompaniments for our food was not delivered till the end. The worst part was the manager didn't want to meet us to take our complaints and people serving on the floor simply didn't care. Felt like no one really cares. Hope the management atleast has some pride left in providing good service.

I like the architecture of the building except the pink colour in the name board !! The interior dint suprise me much it was a typical south Indian restaurant!! I took a take away, cheese poori is worth a try available only for breakfast!! The variety of chutney they give is good!! The side dish along with pongal is really yumm !! Overall good!!
