Ganga Sweets Reviews and Ratings - Koyambedu, Chennai

Great!

Must try here is the samosa. It has always tasted fresh and good. Prompt and polite service. Spacious parking as located in the complex adjacent to Sangeeta and KFC on the other side. But at the junction taking a U-turn here is a tedious round and round about.... if you lose the way.Nice and neatly maintained. seating available.

This place happened to be the nearest sweet shop that caught our eyes while driving to a relative home and we had to get some sweets so took the risk of trying the place for the first time. After sampling a few sweets, we did like them. Especially the milk sweets tasted good, we got two assorted boxes of milk sweets of our choices and savory mixtures. I also got Badam Milk and Rasmalai; thought the drink and sweet tasted alright, it definitely wasn’t one of the best. So I wasn’t a fan of the badam milk for sure. We paid Rs.428 INR for everything.

Thus review is based on a random sweet craving hour on a Sunday. Food-related Kaju Katli - Very nice. Priced well too. Rasmalai - 50Rs for a small portion. Worth the money when you look at the quality of the sweet. Overall food was good. Service : People are pretty attentive but I did notice a table getting delayed for clean up. Else it was Average.

Had Morning Tiffin, Idiyappam and Ghee Roast. Idiyappam costs Rs.43/- and Ghee Roast Rs.70/- which was very low priced when compared to other restaurants. Coming to the taste factor, both the Idiyappam and Ghee Roast was good. For Idiyappam they gave Kuruma and White chuttny, for Ghee Roast Sambar, White (Coconut Chutney) and Red Chutney. They are famous for their sweets, I like their Rajastan Peda which costs Rs.460/- per kg and Chennai Mixture Rs.292/- per Kg. It’s a good choice for having Breakfast, we can even parcel Tiffin items and buy sweets & Mixture While going outside Chennai as it right on the way to Koyembedu  mofussil Busstand.
