One of the new kids on the block which rivals Nandos in African food category... Located in the Vijaya Forum Mall, this is easy to locate... I love the look and feel of the place...especially the interiors...bright and vibrant... The staff is very courteous... Coming to the food, I tried the herb and lemon chicken satay, grilled chicken liver, Grilled chicken and Malva Pudding... The chicken satay was okayish... Nothing great but not bad also... I have had better ones... The Grilled chicken liver was a bit of a let down...it was a bit underdone... One can feel the raw smell of chicken which was a big letdown... The Grilled chicken breast was a winner for me... They say that they marinate it overnight before they grill it and that can be felt from the softness of the chicken... Lovely... Finally the Super 🌟 of the Menu... Malva Pudding... This has to be the best pudding I have ever had in my life... It's basically an apricot pudding which has been served with caramel sauce and ice cream... This is something to die for... The softness of the pudding along with the burnt texture of the pudding was simply mindblowing... I would simply visit this place in future only for it's pudding... Wow... Overall a good place to try out grilled items and not to forget the Malva Pudding...

Are you someone who loves Chicken more than anything ? If yes you should for sure visit this brand new restaurant at the Forum Vijaya mall, even otherwise you must visit them and I am sure you will go crazy about chicken πŸ˜… Galitos known for their flame grilled chicken have opened their first ever branch in the city, bringing in African flavours to the people of chennai 😍 The best part is the chicken here is marinated for 24hours minimum and the meat is super juicy. The restaurant is located in the second floor, looks very colorful and welcoming. Love the lighting and the cute furnishings. The staff were very attentive , the service was quick and on point. We had the chance to meet the chef Mr. Inder who gave us an insight about the restaurant on whole. So , I was here with a friend for dinner and we got to try some yummy dishes πŸ˜ƒ Starters- Chick - e - Naise - Super soft and fresh baked breads topped with chicken , mayo and cheese was just so good πŸ˜ƒ Cheesy Toast - Super fresh breads topped with cheese a veg dish 😊 Chicken wings - They have two options fried and grilled wings and both tasted delicious πŸ˜ƒ The grilled wings had the flavour of tamrind and was super spicy and this was my personal favorite as wellπŸ˜ƒ Lemon herb satay and the chicken & pineapple sosaties- Satay was just like any normal satay , nothing special but the peanut dip that came along with it was to die for πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ Sosaties were good , grilled chicken thigh cubes with flavour of corriander along with pineapple in skewer was nice and tasty and went well with the mayo based dip πŸ˜ƒ Flame grilled chicken - The best πŸ˜ƒ The meat was cooked to perfection and was super juicy and had the perfect flavour from the marination. The chicken was super soft and juicy. Main course- Grilled liver with rice -If you are a rice person they have got you covered. They have rice bowl options. Must try . Chicken Espetada- Lovely presentation. The 24 hours marinated chicken cubes cooked to perfection with peppers hanging on the skewer was served with the best fries and salad. Galitos speaciality. A must try dish. Pulled Chicken burger - Pulled Chicken with tomatoes and caramelized onions served with the best fries. A must try if you like tangy flavour. Drinks - After a long day at work , definitely the lemon iced tea came to my rescue. It was super refreshing. Also tried the watermelon juice which was fresh and a perfect thrist quencher. The best part is they use paper strawsπŸ˜ƒ Here comes the best part😍 Dessert- Malva Pudding - This was just so yum. This is a popular African pudding. The super moist cake was topped with the best coffee caramel sauce tasted delicious was served with vanilla ice cream and extra coffee caramel sauce. A must try. Chocolate Brownie with ice cream- The brownie was super fudgy, chocolaty 😍 Another best from the place 😍 Must try πŸ˜ƒ The place has options for vegetarians as well. And every dish that was served had the the coloured flag that depicts the spice level of the dish. One can customize the dish according to hotness level they can handle. Apart from this every table has the Peri Peri sauce which one can choose as a dip starting from the basic to the extremely spicy level. The fact that the restaurant does not use plastic in any form is to be appreciatedπŸ˜ƒ Overall a great place to hang out with family and friends. The price are pretty reasonable. If you love sauce....this sure is a place you should not miss...The Flavour inches your taste buds to try more...It can be an addictive moment and the after effect of each of those sauces are mouth sizzling and eye watering. These go well with fries and the chicken etc...The service is good and polite. The Galito's special can't be considered outstanding or must try..but something good to eat or a stress buster. The lemon and herb satay was good smooth and little juicy but the sauce is not up to the mark. It's like home made chutney no offense πŸ™ˆπŸ˜.Try to change it if you can. I might a regular just for those sauces😍😍😍🀩🀩🀩🀩

Galito's, know for their flamed/grilled chicken, has finally entered Chennai's food scene! Located in The Forum Vijaya Mall, Vadapalani, this restaurant with bright interiors and warm staff is definitely welcoming. We started off with iced lemon tea and fresh watermelon juice. They gave us a great start to the excellent dinner we were about to have. Lemon & Herb Satay - nothing like the usual Malaysian style satays that i have tasted so far. The taste was so addictive and the peanut dip it came with tasted so different and i loved the combination. Chicken & pineapple sosaties - tender chicken thigh pieces, marinated in a coriander dominated curry paste and grilled with pineapple and onion. Tasted good. Chicken wings - grilled and fired - loved them both, they were perfect - juicy and tender. Hotness is something you will learn to handle here, with their special sauces that come with various levels of spiciness - mild, hot and extreme. Cheese toast - so cheesy and made out of fresh bread, this was a great starter. Chick-e-naise - Toast with chicken, cheese and mayo topping  - instant favorite Grilled liver rice from the choice of rice bowls is a must try if you like chicken liver Chicken espedata - with french fries and grilled veggies. A Galito's special, a must try! Skewered chicken thighs, presented so beautifully in a hanging skewer. Pulled chicken burger - this had a tangy taste with the tomato addition - not my kinda burger. But if you are ok with tangy taste, then you should give it a try BEST PART: Brownie with ice cream - crunchy top layer and fudgy core, warm and slightly gooey - the best! Malva Pudding - DO NOT MISS THIS! Take one big bite of the pudding with the coffee caramel sauce and you will fall in love with it!
