Good Enough

Had a buffet breakfast from here. It was a small spread, mostly standard breakfast items. Eggs were missing though. It was hugely overpriced though even for a business hotel.

First experience worst experience :-( We called the reception today at 9.15 PM and asked if couples are allowed. They said yes so we went there and asked for the space for two the guy replied that the pub is booked for private party. To clarify that, we called again the pub number and now the guy on the other line said some income tax officers has come today and they are doing the IT audit inside. This screwed the whole plan because of this hotel's fake / false information. These guys does not know information they provide to the customers. I threw whole it's the worst experience ever.

Great!

His boots beat a staccato beat on the wooden floor as he came rushing towards me, the broad smile exuding a warmth that instantly made me take a liking to him and for the place as well. The ambience inside fuel is like a spacious drawing room of a rich individual. There are large seater sofa sets at the end of the room to cater to bigger groups of guests. Then there are seats in sets of two and four scattered along the edges, for the smaller groups. The straight backed chairs make for comfortable seating. The lighting is a warm yellow and diffused. The silence of the place evokes a sense of peace. And in such a warm, homely atmosphere, I was served by the smiling boy from Manipur; he had done a course in hotel management, he mentioned by way of friendly banter that I engaged him in. I ended up ordering a double along with a plate of chicken 65. What made me pleasantly surprised was the assorted tidbits that they served along with the drinks. Very few pubs serve peanuts as well as chips, both by way of freebies. If this is a ploy to make people order more, it certainly seems to be a good strategy! The Chicken 65 was served with a plate of veg salad comprising of tomatoes, carrots and onions. The Chicken 65 pieces however were a little dry as they had been deep fried. This, in my opinion, was the only sore point of the whole evening. I tipped them heartily, for they had certainly helped to let me have my drink in peace, just the way I like it!
