My review is not showing here? Even though I got an email saying that my review was uploaded. Why?? What's the problem? Is something tricky going on to disable critical reviews and take only the good ones? In brief let me tell again that the staff did not know how to properly take care of guests who want to use zomato. They did not do the billing properly as per the zomato benefits. The details have been given by my sister in her review. It looked like as if they were resisting and did not want to give the benefits which were due as per the zomato gold membership. There is something seriously wrong with the zomato gold and zomato also. Looks like they are trying to cheat the customer!!!!! Pathetic!!

Okay so it was my first visit to LALIT chandighar and yeah Baluchi treated me nice. To spend time there was worth every single min. The FOOD GOOD. Like i told them to make it spicy and what tgey comeup with was absolutely YUM and SPICY. ❤️

I have been to Baluchi 2-3 times before. Recently 10 of us went to the place (including 4 kids). The food was decent. The service was little slow, but since the service staff was quite cheerful and courteous, and given that it was a rush hour of Saturday, I can let that pass. However, what bothered me was the use of Zomato Gold. Zomato Gold has a clear rule that the 2nd most expensive item is given free on the 1+1 offer. Since we were using 3 zomato golds, accordingly 2nd, 4th and 6th most expensive items had to be discounted. As we sat at the restaurant, we informed them that we will be using the Zomato gold. The manager first asked me to give the whole order- from snacks to the main course - in one go. When I pointed out how ridiculous that was, he insisted that I tell him at that very instance how many of the Zomato gold I wanted to use for the snacks. Their logic for this is that they have to punch in the Zomato gold while placing the order. I again don't get it, as this is supposed to be at the billing time. If they have a system like this, they need to change it. Because my snacks items were more expensive than my main course, they should have discounted another snack item for the 4th most expensive discount, but they applied it for a cheaper main course item. On top of that, instead of utilising the 3rd gold for a main course dish, the manager very conveniently utilised it for the least expensive item which was one naan. It took 20 minutes of our precious time to explain the error he had made in the bill. Subsequently he discounted the rice, instead of the naan. However, the issue between the snacks and the main course still remained, but we couldn't argue on that, as he has already pressurized me to give my verbal agreement on the same, before the complete order. We had a bill of Rs 8000...a discount of Rs 1000 is not a big deal. The mental torture is. And having to go through so much hassle at a restaurant like this, made the whole experience very unpleasurable. It's simple, if you feel that Zomato gold is below your eliteness, then dont be a zomato gold partner. If you are, then you better apply it properly, rather than harassing the customer. And this is for Zomato gold also, the manager kept quoting 'as per instructions of Zomato gold'. Zomato gold , either your instructions to the restaurants are not clear or you're playing a dubious game by being unclear at both sides. I feel I made a big mistake by taking Zomato gold membership. For discount of Rs 300 or so per gold membership. (which is less than the tip we give at such restaurants), I really don't want to lose my peace of mind. (I have attached the bills for reference) I had another issue with this visit of baluchi. The music was loud. We were a group of 10 and their were kids were us. So we were a little loud than usual, but not so loud that it would bother anyone. But the manager specifically asked us to keep quiet so that others are not disturbed (no one had complained). So I guess, when you are in a group, baluchi is not the place to go. For me, it's not the place to go at all now.

Awsm ambience .. good food.. live music.. what else we want.. polite n friendly staff alwaz ready to help u.. would luv to visit again.. 5 stars for their hospitality..

We ordered dal makhani ,paneer,raita and fruit salad. Lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed my food with my family. Polite and well mannered staff. I would like to visit again and again.
