We were waiting at the signal of vishnu park and saw the colorful roof top restaurant on the right and decided to give a visit this evening so then after crossing the road saw the name as swad restaurant and asked my wife to check the ratings on Zomato we just saw a 3 rating even then we thought of giving it try because of the roof top, just took the stairs and was heading towards second floor some one stopped us saying it's still not ready WIP, we were literally disappointed but as it's already 10:45 pm we thought of having dinner there it self and ordered a veg biriyani, mixed veg curry, bhindi fry and pulka looking at the ambience and place we weren't expecting anything great but as our food reached the table our thoughts have completely changed. Veg biriyani was really amazing and full of flavors loved each and every bite of it same carried with bhindi fry we thought that is extra for two people as we already ordered mix veg curry but it turned out to be a lip smacking dish, mixed veg curry was good as other restaurants nothing special. Bill was so pocket friendly they have charged a lot less compared to the other places with the quality of food they have provided. One thing I can recommend them is about pulka they are not soft and hot enough as they were supposed to be, so limiting to 4* but will definitely visit again for trying their non veg dishes hopefully the roof top will be ready by that time.

Liked nothing about the place.. neither the ambience nor the food.. they use lots of Masala.. which is generally + for me.. but the Masala was not properly cooked and marinated

Awesome affordable food. Good to order online. Average ambience. They Serve a variety of items starting from plain dishes like dal khichdi to non veg like pepper chicken.

Visited here on a Friday night for dinner. The look and feel of the place gives you a homely feeling. I personally found the food pretty tasty n spicy having an authentic north Indian taste. Ordered chicken kolhapuri which was spicy and tasted good. The chicken could have been marinated better . Tandoori naan , buttermilk and daal khichdi. Daal khichdi is one of the best dishes that I have had here. Spicy n mouth watering .

The food is nothing grand but prices are cheap and best for students Go for the simpler varieties like paneer pepper dry and tandoori roti The non veg is better tasting than veg Their chinese selection is horrible and comes with star anise and cinnamon sticks! The place is cozy yet outdated in terms of decor But a quick lunch is always good to have
