Well, I was looking for some place for our dinner date! Suddenly I came to know about this joint and I called them for a table reservations (recommended) and we finally dropped in to this place! Lemme tell you, you won’t feel you are in bangalore rather some countryside area! So calm n peaceful place it is. Basically a colonial farm house turns into a luxurious restaurant! They only host for 5 table for a eve and that’s the reason you can spend a gala time with your partner while cherishing their mouth watering five course meal! It’s not just a dinner date for us but an experience..

A beautiful experience I would recommend to everyone!! Warm staff, sweet and pleasant ambience and the best part for me was a noiseless peaceful surrounding far from the city hustle! It is quite a drive from the city so it did feel like a bit of getaway honestly! The Jazz music to go with the evening was absolute pleasure! About the Food: The preparation was made to taste and was flavoursome. The 5 course meal is quite appetizing in itself. The 7 course meal is for the happy bellies! And it will make you happy. I am not a fan of Aubergines but the preparations at Grasshopper were good to have. The main course Braised Chicken with Olives was absolutely delicious, the meat was well cooked and juicy and I loved it. The salads were a delight too. Overall the food is experience is very good. Friendly advice to the reader: Reserve your table in advance as there are only 5 tables catered to. And the fact that it is limited seating is a big plus in adding to the space and privacy every table gets. Also hope to God the weather is on your side to not miss out on the private table outdoor 😄 Plan your travel to the venue properly, map it out and get the travel time checked in advance given traffic in the evening on Bannerghatta Road is a bit of menace with metro work underway 😐 For Grasshopper: Please light up the place a little more than just table candles. The place is sweet and I think alot more can be done with lights to add to the beauty of this lovely venue. The image added below is edited for the reader's benefit but you can try more with lights and that alone will make a huge difference in setting up the ambience next level. 🙂 Special mention to Sonali who is the nicest to interact with. She was very accommodating of the requests made with the booking changes and made it all work beautifully. 😊 Thank you! Must try: Honey Cinnamon Ice cream with Honey gems! 😋

Gradshopper was on my top list since the time I gor married and settled in Bangalore as it always topped the charts of the romantic dine outs on the social media. I had booked this place for my husband on his birthday and it couldn’t have been better. Located in Banerghatta, away from the concrete jungle and the Banaglore traffic this is a perfect location with excellent food and service. Its a luxury dining feel in an all together different way. The food has perfect balance of the ingredients in all the dishes that were served. Definately going for this experience again for a special occassion in the near future.

Frankly 3.5 is the perfect rating I can give! Best :- - Use of exotic ingredients in the food, such as caviar being used in one of our appetiser & pine nuts used in our main course! - Obviously can't talk about this place without mentioning its amazing ambience, quaint, country side feel, with great arrangement of lots of flowers & 3 candle lights on the table, very romantic as mentioned by almost all of the reviewers here, especially when you choose the lawn area for the seating! - Amazing selection of jazz music, with more of 70's & 80's genre & in sync with the ambience & occasion if you have any for the evening! Good :- - Service is good, staff who served us was very courteous, made us feel at home, comfortable & was patient to listen to our small requests, also on time with all the servings. - The food is filled with great full filling flavours because of its fresheness & the way the chef had used the flavoursome ingredients to its full extent in making all the dishes taste exotic & feel fulfilling (according to ppl who are small eaters, I am sure foodies won't appreciate it much). - I guess the owner, Sonali was courteous to come over & ask us if we have any complaints whatsoever while we go through our five course meal. Bad :- - Was not expecting a separate charge for the wine, they could have just provided a restricted 1 glass of wine (anyone variety to choose) per meal instead of making us order a whole bottle which is only fine if we are sure about completing the whole thing. - Quantity of the food is far from what was expected, as it was not all enough for the price they charge (2-3 cucumber gel could have been good in such a big plate, also same with crostini could have had 2-3 more of them in a plate) especially foodies who love quantity & are big eaters will never be satisfied with it. - The salad is bit over garnished with lettuce & was having very less content of the main ingredients! - Fixed number of tables(4-5) or a five/seven course meal or fixed chef menu, need not restrict you guys to give us some 2-3 options to choose in the main course section of the menu!! ( A suggestion per se ). - The chairs were not at all comfortable, was very basic & not cozy as would expect from such a highly reviewed place! - Some bugs or insect menace is always present in the lawn seating arrangement, which they could have managed by putting on some odourless mosquito coils nearby. Worst :- - I really gave a long thought & tried to justify the price that is being charged here, with my experience in trying out different food in different parts of world & places within Bangalore, I CLEARLY FEEL THE PRICE IS NOT EXHORBITANT, BUT SURELY VERY EXPENSIVE !! Overall I would recommend this place for people who are small eaters, who love calm quite secluded place within Bangalore "close to nature" as an ambience particularly for their special days. Most importantly make sure you & your partner/companion love European food!! Not at all recommended for people who are big eaters, foodies who love quantity & love Indian Chinese or Asian cuisine (which anyways they don't serve), ppl who don't appreciate quality or presentation over quantity! - also please stay away from this place, if you are into value for money types! Btw thanks for the nice gesture of serving a complimentary dessert for my frnd's birthday!

This is a beautiful little paradise in the middle of nowhere. Their ambience will give some of the most beautiful moments with your partner. Food can definitely get better maybe with more cuisine options. The desserts were really good!! All in all it’s a must experience once kinda place :)
