Earthen Bowl Reviews and Ratings - Doddanekundi, Bengaluru

See image of bill to decide if you want to visit this place. Yes you've read it right.. they charge Rs.280 for a glass of virgin mojito. That is at par with the price of their sizzlers and more expensive than their pizza. I've been to this restaurant 5-6 times and always had a 3-3.5 star experience but this one was horrible. We were a group of 8 and ordered 2 paneer starter, 2 rolls and a 2 non-veg starters. The 1st batch of paneer was ok but they took an unusual time in serving the second. When you order 2 plates of the same dish you expect them to come together but it was not the case here. When the 2nd one came, it was all clear. Paneer was unevenly sliced and I could hardly cut it with knife. It was like rubber and to my horror it was cold like just taken out of refigerator. I cancelled that order. The next 2 paneer sizzlers had the same issue with paneer. Chinese here is too saucy and the spring rolls we ordered had a very tangy and saucy filling. The biggest surprise was the ordinary virgin mojito which is not in the menu and costs an extra ordinary 280 INR per glass. It doesn't make no sense at all!! I've decided to not go to this place ever again. No value for money.

The most part of the 4 star review goes to the ambience of this place. Once you're inside through the unnoticeable entrance , you will almost forget that you are still in the forever- bustling Outer Ring Road area. The place is serene with an outdoorsy feeling as the tables are arranged right next to a lawn with a tiny pond. The Decor is simple and neat with an artistic kitchen area. The staff felt quite inexperienced every one of the four times I've been there. Their veg bbq pizza, Madras chicken burger, chicken tikka, piduba chicken, cilli garlic fried rice , chicken noodles all are tasty/at par and we never had qualms about their food or pricing. They do not serve any drinks except for aerated soft beverages which is a bummer for a such a nice place. I'm guessing they are on a verge of getting a bar license. The cheesecake and their sundaes are sumptuous tho.

Nice ambience. Feels like a food truck with outdoor sitting. Ambience 4/5. Food is also good here. Tried sizzlers which was good. Definitely recommend for a change.

Absolutely loved this place! Open Air restaurant with lovely greenery all around. The food was delicious, both veg and nonveg. We tried the fish fingers(the best I could find after trying it almost everywhere in Bangalore), and amazing mushroom starters. This place is affordable, spacious with courteous servers and I'd love to visit again. Hopefully they would have a proper bar menu and a dance floor available by then! The GhaasPhoos
