BANGALORE BOX Reviews and Ratings - BTM Layout Stage 4, Bengaluru

Rated 3.0 by Sakshi Singh

Visited this place with a lot of hopes but were a bit disappointed with the ambience. The music was not at all audible. We ordered chicken nachos. The food was okayish but most of the drinks were unavailable. Though the staff tried their best to make us feel comfortable, we had to look for another restaurant.

"New resto-bar in town. Wait!! What? In shipping containers.." YES! You read it right. Food is getting conceptualized day on day everyday, so is the ardour for the ambience. Bangalore Box, the most touted dining place in the vicinity off-late, is a restobar fabricated from the refurbished Shipping containers entirely. Located in Vijay bank layout (BTM - IV stg) is a new boy, yet to find a strong contender near around but would give a run for their money if it had one. What's compelling about this place: -------------------------------------------------- This 3-floored restobar is backed by over 120 International/Local dishes collectively. One must visit the place for an experience, if not for food. The layered ambience constitute booths on second floor and a roof top dining on the third. Booths keep you secluded from the crowd whereas rooftop hosts foray of events including, but not limited to, Stand-ups,Live music, Projecting Sporting events etc.. Whats good to eat: -------------------------------------------------- 1. Creme of broccoli & Hong Kong noodles soup: The first one needs no introduction and the later one resurrection [pun intended;)] 2. Salad roll: Sauteed veggies wrapped in a thin rice sheet. Couldn't eat the sheet though. 3. Crispy corn with black pepper sauce: Could be your new sides (Chakna) alongside a cold beer. 4. Veg kulfi: This ain't a dessert. Its the veggies served in a small glass with tomato-garlic dip at the bottom. A MUST TRY! 5. Spinach and Mushroom resole: Deep fried Spinach/ Mushroom chips served with green mint chatney. 6. COTTAGE CHEESE Ratatouille: Loved it. Can't put that dish into words. 7. Teriyaki chicken burger: I didn't order it, but overlooked at the order from the adjacent booth for it was too catchy to be ignored. So just head to this place to experience the concept of thinking Out-the-box to be inside one. Report card: -------------------------------------------------- 1. Taste: 4/5 2. Ambience: 4/5 3. Service: 3/5 4. Value for money: 4/5
