Auntie Fung's Reviews and Ratings - Koramangala, Bengaluru

Avoid!

Rated 1.0 by Priyanka Ahuja

Ordered on Saturday night after reading all the reviews. - Veg Thai curry meal (which mentioned bamboo shoot as the only veggie in the description) had all veggies except bamboo shoots. Quite misleading esp if you are ordering coz you like bamboo shoots. - Rice: was not jasmine. - Chowmein: has an overload of salt and oil. Seemed like the cook put double salt by mistake. - Veggies along with noodles : very sweet. Overall, every dish was messed and had a disappointing Saturday dinner!

Ordered from this place after seeing so many good reviews. Specifically wanted to eat Thai green curry with bamboo shoots and I was excited that the main veggie mentioned in the description was bamboo shoots! Plus the Kolkata style chowmein. - Thai green curry: Had zero bamboo shoots inspite of being the only veggie mentioned in the description. - The rice was normal steamed and not jasmine. - Chowmein was an overload of salt and oil: seemed like by mistake the chef put double the salt. - The gravy along with chowmein was sweet. Overall, everything was messed up.

I went to this restaurant to try their Baos. In addition to their incredibly slow service, the Auntie Fung's team in the Koramangala outlet, served me a bowl of Vietnamese Chicken Pho with bugs in it. I unfortunately had already started eating the pho when I discovered the bug and promptly lost my appetite. If that was not enough, the icing on the cake was when I asked for the bill, they had the gall to charge me for the Pho and only deducted it from my total bill amount when I pointed it out! 1 star rating only because I can't score any lower. Definitely don't plan on returning to this place. Prefer to get my bao and pho cravings satisfied in more hygienic and customer-centric places.

Blah!

Loved the ambience and simplistic setup of the place. Sadly the place was completely empty. Nothing much to write about the food, pretty dull. The Khowsuey was not authentic while the Vietnamese Pho tasted like broth. The desserts were not available. The place has good potential if they pull up their socks in the food department.
