Aastha Bengali Mess Reviews and Ratings - Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru

Blah!

Rated 2.0 by Sougata Ghosh

I visited the place today to have late lunch... Had Tangra Mach and chicken kosha with normal rice meal... Price is very reasonable... Fish only was good (gravy was watery), chicken kosha was average with too much lemon. In the meal there were rice aloo Bhaja, daal and a mix veg... Daal was not Bengali daal, aloo vaja was too much oily, I did not taste mixed veg... I would like to add few more lines... I don't know how many of people had food in so called "pice hotels" in Kolkata or West Bengal. I had the chance to have in few occasions. I would rather consider this place with that pice hotels all around. These pice hotels may not be hygienic, not good decor, not comfortable sitting etc. but provide tasty food. That is completely missing here. Kindly look into the taste factor seriously.

Bengalis love their food and though they also like other cuisines they will always like to go back to the homely bhaat dal and mach. Aastha mess in yeswantpur is a blessing for such Bengalis. One can get authentic homely Bengali food here at a moderately cheap price. They have both meal and a-la-carte system. Mostly they keep 2/3 varieties of fish along with chicken, mutton and egg dishes. The manager and the staff are also very friendly. All in all this is the place to have great Bengali food in yeswantpur area.

Authentic Bengali Food at very reasonable price. Ambience may not be the best but at this price point such good and homely cooked food is a killer deal in Bangalore.

an extraordinary place for Bangali food at extremely reasonable rates. missing homemade food means rushing to Aastha. I've been visiting this place since 2015 and not even once it has disappointed me! Be it Chicken Biriyani, or Chicken Kosha, Dim Bhurji moshla, Luchi meal or simple Dal, Bhat, Alubhaja - every dish of theirs equally wins the heart! Added to that, the hospitability of Tuhin da is amazing. Bokul da too is a very sweet person.
