Shikarpuri Halwai Reviews and Ratings - Sardar Nagar, Ahmedabad
The first name which your mind can recall after thinking of sweets is SHIKARPURI.... really amazing taste ! Each and everything thing they serve is totally fresh and fantastic! Must try all the items present here. Festival sweets, general sweets, famous Sindhi snacks like fafda, dal pakwan, pav bhaji, ragda patis, khaman, puff, dokla, vadapav, n lots more..... are served. the most famous thing of this shop is samosas, people from other cities, even NRI & foreigners come specially to have it. The most interesting thing is that, if u need to send something to your inlaws, each and every items is available in single shop, all tokri's, finely packed dryfruit, sharbat etc. If you have not visited here, it's never too late, go grab your shoes and have a delicious day!

Sweets are ok type. Snacks are good. No variety in sweets. Masala kaju are good in taste. Also milk sharabat. Can buy somethings when required from here.

I was craving for some authentic Dal Pakwan since a while and was ready to travel for it... Someone had suggested driving till Rajkot for it and I was all set! Then I was suggested Shikarpuri in Sardar Nagar... I was not sure what to expect, first thing that you notice is that there is absolutely no parking options unless you don't care leaving your vehicle on the middle of the road Upon entering you'll also notice that there is no seating in the place! There are 2 standing tables for you to stand and eat Finally the display and food... The display is your standard halwai ki dukaan with the wares on display but the food tasted good only caveat is that you don't pay heed to the surroundings or where it came from... But hey, you are not here for the fine fine experience. I had the Dal Pakwan which tasted authentic Sindhi made, the majoom(?) Also was rich and tasty. All in all, great experience at eating almost street food... Would I go there again? Maybe not :)
