Saffron Reviews and Ratings - Keshav Nagar, Ahmedabad

Avoid!

Rated 1.0 by Surbhi Agrawal

Worst service ever, we had to call the waiter 10 times for taking the order and later even for getting onions. We were literally given ramains of food, and we complained we were being told they had less staff that day... and thus they cannot mannage.. the royi had a hair strand in it.. and we eventually left the restaurant without eating anything. Would recommend any one not to go there anytime, unhygienic food.

Visited saffron yesterday for dinner as it was my Uncle’s birthday. We went for the unlimited fixed menu option. The server was very courteous and pretty smart with his work. Absolutely loved the lassi shots ( I was surprised to see that molecular gastronomy being used here, yes I’m a Chef so these things turn me on) they were good but the sweet lassi should be more sweet than what we were served. The tandoori paneer and aloo and rosti potatoes were awesome! The baked macaroni was a bit too bland for our liking. In the main course we loved the variety of rotis, naans and kulchas they had, so we ordered a assorted platter of the breads. It was a good choice on our part as we weren’t let down here. The paneer was way too good and loved the methi aloo too. But the real show stopper of the meal was the daal tadka and jeera rice. The dessert disappointed the most. The brownie and vanilla ice cream was good but the so called chocolate sauce seemed like some hot concoction of corn flour, water and cocoa powder. In simple words, it was not chocolate sauce. The verdict, it is a decent place with the servers being courteous and smart enough to understand you. The whole meal was satisfying and filling.

I had the Punjabi Thali here for dinner. It was very filling and extremely tasty. The service was good and the ambience was excellent. However, for there is no dessert for the Thali, which most of the places provide. Probably, something could be added lile ice cream or Gulab jamun!
