Avoid!

Rat Spotted! So, I along with my family and friends have been going at Mirch masala CG for forever (more than 15 years i guess). Really loved the food always. BUT when I went this weekend (on5/8/2018), we spotted a BIG FAT RAT near the kitchen area! I'm not even saying we might have seen a rat. It was there for good 15-20 mins. Just sitting and chilling on 'Today's special menu'. When I informed the manager he simply nodded and went away, never facing us back It's horrible feeling to spot a rat at your favourite restaurant. More than that, the food have been super heavy these days, it's delicious but leaves your stomach super blotted the next day. Sadly, will never be going out at Mirch masala CG road again.

Visited this restaurant on strong recommendation of a foode friend. This place needs no publicity, it's simply the best in Ahmedabad I had so far.  The food is great and the offering is sumptuous. Do no forget to have hot jalebis as dessert. The place is nicely decorated with walls having painting of Bollywood cine stars.

Probably the first/oldest Mirch Masala in the city, this CG Road restaurant is the perfect mix of legacy and contemporary trends. I visited this place for the first time as a four year old before visiting it day before yesterday after turning 26 and I realised that little has changed here in terms of ambience of food quality. Mirch Masala remains one of the best in the city when it comes to authentic Punjabi cuisine. We ordered Hariyali Tikki and Aloo Chaat. Aloo Chaat was the only disappointment in the entire experience as it was no where close to "chaat"! Hariyali Tikki was amazing and lived up to expectations. For main course we had Subzi Mirch Masala, Rotis/Naans, Dal Makhani and Rice. While Dal Makhani was amazing in taste, it was too spicy and deviated and authentic Punjabi "Makhani" taste. Subzi Mirch Masala was moderate spicy and tasted great! We ordered Jalabis for desert which was a sheer delight!
