I came to know about this place, by their online marketing tactics – commenting on our previous posted pics on zomato. They also give complimentary meals to top reviewers of their choice, which is not ethical in my perspective. FOOD: I ordered rajma chawal box and chole chawal box. Both of the items had bland taste, nothing special. There was almost no gravy, whole meal felt dry. Green chutney was horrible and spicy. Rajma, chole, rice and corn- all were properly cooked. I also liked the fusion of salad and rice. One meal box is easily sufficient of one person. (Food: 3/5) DELIVERY: They charge 30 rupees, regardless of the order value. The delivery was on time. There is much room for improvement in the food section. I will not necessarily order from this place again.

Avoid!

Tried to call on the given number, but it is always switched off. Kindly confirm if you actually exist. This is really disappointing. Guide us if there is any other way. Also, you have mentioned that wallet is accepted. But there is no option to order online.

Dilli in a box is the tagline that this place stands for and as I am not a fan of cholle chawal decides to choose Rajma instead. Recieved a complimentary box, the delivery was on time and the packaging was impressive it was a re-heatable box and quite sturdy and kept the contents fresh. Fusion food sounds great but personally I wouldn’t like to eat a salad with rajma so for that they do have options of adding the salad or just having the rice with rajma/cholle. Having had traditional Chandni Chowk Rajma Chawal your expectations rise quite a bit and the downside to this was that the gravy was quite less as compared to the rice in proportion and and tasted bland it could have had more flavours, some salt, more spice and finely chopped pieces of ginger and chilli as it was way too big and obstructed the rajma’s taste in every bite. Also the green chutney was fine but it dint make any sense to me with the Rajma as the fusion did not seem to go down that well. Would really like it if these factors would be improved it could work wonders!

Good Enough

Dilli unboxed is a good choice if you are looking for quick healthy food sufficient to satisfy your hunger... i tried their chole paneer box... no complaints about taste... just two things i would like to address to management.. 1. I felt the corn were not properly boiled... 2. The amount of chole was little less compared to rice...

This newly opened delivery place has a good concept to satisfy dilli style food cravings. Tried both their boxes: Rajma Chawal and Cholle Chawal The only good thing was that the quantity is enough to fill one person. There are more of major issues with Dilli Unboxed. To start with the presentation. Does not look appealing at all. I dont find any need to put in olives and unboiled corn or even a stick of mint. The chutney was very very dry. The rajma and chhole were dry and mashed. As it was put directly on top of the rice, the rice seemed to soak up all of the gravy and then became soggy and dry too. Talking about the taste, it was really bland. I have been to Delhi and I have experienced how they make their Rajma. This one does not come anywhere near to it. I think the management should really look into improving a lot of things and take it feedback very constructively.
