No point visiting gujurat and not having a gujurati thaali. and hence I decided to visit this amazing restaurant in Ahemdabad to try it's favorite thali . The spread of the entire thali can be seen in pics. Special mention to Basundi and Dhokla which was the best item on the thaali. Would definitely pay one more visit there next time I go Ahemdabad

It is devised on the concept of serving unlimited food based on a fixed menu. Athithi is known for gujrati food. So there is one fixed, menu and the price 300pp. The servings are unlimited but they are a bit slow when the restraunt is full. Ambience- Very basic and simple interiors, but seating is comfortable. Food- You will get around 15 items in your plate. For my visit I had 1. Small Samosa 2. Patora( Arbi Patta Pakora) 3. Mendu Bada 4. Mix chopped salad 5. Papad 6.Daal 7. Kadhi 8. butter Paneer 9. Beans and corn 10. Chole 11. Aloo Sabhi(gravy) 12. Aam Ras 13. Sweet Dish 14. Rice 15. Chaas(Butter Milk) 16.Choice of breads( roti/rotla/poori) One thing must be noted while having these dishes, these are prepared in Gujarati style so all of them were sweet in taste. So if you are visiting from some other region expect gujrat or have a different palate then you might not like them. But considering the taste, everything was good except the curry, it was slightly undercooked. Service- The service was promt in the beginning but had to wait for a few things to repeat.

Its an amazing restaurant with very good ambience. People there serving foods are so humble and so good. The best thing what I liked is as soon as you will go there you can start having food without waiting for much time. One of the favourite dish was Aamras.. Yummm really ymy that was.. Vegetables are tasty but I don’t like too much gujarati taste so I didn’t liked 2-3 vegetables. Else was actually palatable. You must visit Ellisbridge branch that is woww!!!

Second branch of the famous athithi over CG. The space is huge for big group to dine comfortably. Interior is good as it is basic family restaurant. They have two waiting area. One outside and other inside it. We had a huge 40 people group and have informed them that we will be arriving at 7. but the aam Ras had not been prepared and they were waiting for the aam Ras so didn't started serving till 8.30. as we became more furious they started the food and then in some time aam Ras arrived. The wait for aam Ras was not at all worth. Worst taste of it. Even the samosa was not served as they were preparing it. Didn't like the management service as this type of restaurants are mainly for huge person management. Other things were average to good
